Publisher's summary

They lived in two different worlds. Leah was a wicked queen - the epitome of evil.

Mika was a woman of God - a priest in 22nd-century America. Both fought the attraction that threatened to destroy them. Their love was plagued by demons and curses.

A twist in time brought them together testing Mika's faith and Leah's strength. Romance, action, and adventure combine to make this one of the best novels of the year. Theirs was a love that spanned the ages, only a twist in time could keep them apart.

Glitches

It was a good listen however, in several parts there where promotional over story or you had a reapeat of a dialogue and you can hear 2 talking over each other so in total of 5 times in the story

It captured me!

I really enjoyed this book, it captured my attention and didn't let go until the end. I love a book that will have me making myself turn it off just because I need to go to sleep. That has always been a sign of a good book for me. Can't wait for the sequel to come to audiobook

Two Worlds Collide

Mika is a Catholic priest in the 22nd century in America. Leah is a wicked queen and witch and the mayor of New Judea. Brought together by a twist in time they are brought to in a fight of good and evil. Romance and adventure in the future. Great start to the saga.

Good story, but a lot of production issues

As stated it is a pretty good story. The narration has a lot of issues that need to be corrected otherwise the reader has a nice voice.

Editing recommended

In the audio book I received, the editing wasn't done well. The narrator repeats the same sentence over in a couple of places and there were a few instances where the audio itself is garbled like it had been recorded over.

Disappointing

I was immediately drawn in by the concept of an LGBT romance between a witch and an angel, but the execution is disappointing and the story directionless. I wanted to like this book, but the plot dragged heavily with little conflict that couldn't be resolved almost immediately. The whole book is "telling" rather than "showing." Also, there were at least 5 audio errors where random audio clips from different sections of the book played over the narration. In another instance, the narrator misspeaks, clears her throat, and starts over. Once or twice, a dog can be heard barking in the background. I know the audio issues are nitpicky, but surely someone had to have listened to this audiobook before it was released. I've never encountered such glaring errors in audiobooks before.

SPOILERS: I got so excited when demons attacked because, FINALLY, now we're getting to the meat of the story. Nope. Solved extraordinarily quickly and never mentioned again. I think more time was spent on the talent show plot than on the literal demons. Also, a background character is a werewolf for no reason? We never see it, it is just mentioned a handful of times. The book also just ends out of nowhere. Let's hope the next two are better, though, it remains to be seen if I'll be checking them out.
