ADHD is much more complicated than the common symptoms that most of us are familiar with. Firstly, each child is unique in the number of symptoms he or she displays as well as their severity. Secondly, there are many nuances to ADHD that only you, as a parent, can learn to recognize and help your child deal with and control. Third, the special bond that you have with your child makes you the most qualified person to help him through his struggles and frustrations.

Here is a preview of what you will learn:

  • How to cope emotionally and accept your child's ADHD
  • How to help your family cope
  • How to explain to your child that he or she has ADHD
  • How to structure a holistic family routine that will help your child thrive and succeed
  • Why structure is vital to a child with ADHD
  • When and how to enforce discipline
  • What are the strategies and tools to help your child control his ADHD symptoms
  • How to help your child make friends and develop social skills
  • What is the importance of regular exercise and the best options for your child

  • What are the best indoor and outdoor activities
  • How play therapy and art therapy can benefit your child
  • How to rewire your child's brain and your own

In addition, the audiobook is packed with tips and suggestions that may never have occurred to you but that can have an amazing impact on you and your child. You will be able to choose from a wide variety of games, activities, and technological aids that will help your child develop skills while having fun. You will even have some sample schedules and meal plans to get you started on this holistic approach.

Even if you think you know everything you need to know about your child's ADHD, I can guarantee that you will discover many new and astonishing things that you never imagined could become part of your coping strategies. Lies

I had to stop listening because he said and quote adhd is not emotional. That is wrong and believing that will leave many undiagnosed. My emotions have stabilized since being diagnosed and beginning treatment. And girls are not less likely to have adhd like he said they are just more likely to be undiagnosed!!!!!! I have a child with adhd so I got this book but being adhd myself know that just because it’s not in the dms5 doesn’t mean it is not part of adhd.
