Publisher's summary

The race is on. The last remnants of humankind fight to maintain their very existence. Everything is at stake as they push to preserve their homeland. Forward bases have been established, but they have a long ways to go if they’re to carve out a sanctuary. Not only do the survivors have millions of infected to worry about, but there is a ticking time bomb that they have to diffuse.

The western forces have secured an island, but it’s not truly theirs. The air is contaminated by the millions of infected. Without enough firepower to eliminate so many, they’ll have to come up with another solution before an accident allows the virus to infiltrate their ranks.

In the midst of battles that could swing either way, a 10-year-old girl cycles through the middle of nowhere. Alone and scared, she pedals on lonely highways, searching for help. Within her, she carries either the hope of salvation or the potential downfall of humanity.

Chill

If you liked World War Z as I imagine a lot of these people who gave it one star reviews did then you’ll like this. I felt like we should have gotten more in depth stories with some more characters in that book or shrunk the amount of them. This book series starts off as a story about 5 people then branches out into short jumps and missions for people but doesn’t leave you to wonder or leave you wishing it would be over soon. They didn’t let two people have a relationship at the end and it goes against normal book writings but I’m so fucking glad they didn’t. Great book series I’m happy to have listened to it.

not enough of original cast

I enjoyed book one tremendously. book two I have a five star but should not have. I thought it would pick up with a lot of the originals in book three. never happened. I liked the series but I would have loved it if you would have kept Brown in it.

Fantastic Finish!

Wow! This was a great series. Not many apocalyptic books go into the whole nuclear plant problem the world would face if there was an event. Then we have Emily biking her little self for miles not understanding what is going on but needing help. Then you have the Dr. that made the virus, can he save human kind? Read this series and see.
