Publisher's summary

From the bestselling author of Everything We Keep comes a gripping tale of long-buried secrets, the strength of forgiveness, and the healing power of returning home for good.

After a harrowing accident tore her family apart, Molly Brennan fled from the man she loved and the tragic mistake she made.

Twelve years later, Molly has created a new life for herself and her eight-year-old daughter, Cassie. The art history professor crafts jewelry as unique and weathered as the surf-tumbled sea glass she collects, while raising her daughter in a safe and loving environment - something Molly never had. But when Cassie is plagued by horrific visions and debilitating nightmares, Molly is forced to return to the one place she swore she'd never move back to - home to Pacific Grove.

A riveting exploration of love, secrets, and motherhood, All the Breaking Waves is the poignant story of a woman who discovers she must confront her past, let go of her guilt, and summon everything in her power to save her daughter.

Liked it a lot

I got this book through Amazon. I like the other book I read by her (everything we keep) so I figured this one would be good and it was!! Very enjoyable read.

Not my kind of story.

The narration was great. The story itself was just not my thing. It started out interesting but then started to drag for me. It did have a good ending.

Creative story, didn’t love the narration

It was a creative storyline with a sweet love story. The narrator uses long pauses at the end of each sentence which made the story drag a bit. I tried listening to it on 1.5x speed but didn’t like that either.

Good story line...

Good story line... something different than the usual. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the foul language and intimate scenes.

Truly Enjoyed

I love the story engaging I couldn't stop listening. The narrator is beyond great and switching of characters voices is done amazingly well. You really can hear the different characters which helps you to relate to each one.

Very touching

Reading books with domestic abuse can be sometime tough to read, the acceptance of what is happening can sometimes be hard to accept and it's even more trying when their children involved but I love when there is a happy ending which this book had. Sad but adventurous An exciting to the end
