Better than her other works

I much prefer this title compared to other works by Jewell. I listened to this book virtually non stop. If you like mysteries like Gone Girl or Girl on The Train, you’ll likely like this book. Well paced, interesting characters.

this was hard to put down. I just loved it. it was heart wrenching at times, thrilling and full of love.

After discovering Lisa Jewel and absorbing several of her books, I've come to count on her to deliver a solid story that intrigues and entertains me. Narrator Helen Duff is perfection. I love her voice and the life she gives the characters. The twists and turns are not formulaic and, as one who has read mysteries all my life, I appreciate a great payoff and satisfying finish. Loved it. On to the next one!

Terrible Language

Intriguing story, some of the voices of the characters is a bit annoying. Don’t listen if offended by swearing

Slow start but worth holding on. Great read!

This story started a little slow but I'm glad I kept listening. It was a great story and kept me intrested.

I didn’t hate it

... But I didn’t love it. I usually rate a book by how much I am looking forward to hearing the story when I get in the car for my morning commute. There were only a couple of times, about 2/3 in, where that happened. I loved the reader’s accent and ability to read different roles, though males came out rather “breath.” I appreciated the comic nature of the main character Alice. I appreciated the twists in the story line, but the villain was far too one dimensional and the story very unlikely. It reminded me of a soap opera plot line. But still, I didn’t stop listening, so I can’t exactly pan it. It was a resounding okay.

Good book, beginning was hard to get into. Ending was a little uneventful. Overall good book.

Exceptionally well written

Twists and turns and vivid descriptions keep one fully centered within this story. I recommend listening when you are paying complete attention so as not to miss anything.

I thought the last lisa Jewell book was good but this one was un-put-downable! I could not stop listening. Thrilling story and very well read

Great story line- kept me interested until the very end. Great narrator 👍👍. One of the best books I’ve listened to in a long time.
