Resumen del Editor

Lacey Terwilliger's shock and humiliation over her husband's philandering prompt her to add some bonus material to Mike's company newsletter: stunning Technicolor descriptions of the special brand of "administrative support" his receptionist gives him. The detailed mass e-mail to Mike's family, friends, and clients blows up in her face, and before one can say "instant urban legend", Lacey has become the pariah of her small Kentucky town, a media punch line, and the defendant in Mike's defamation lawsuit.

Her seemingly perfect life up in flames, Lacey retreats to her family's lakeside cabin, only to encounter an aggravating neighbor named Monroe. A hunky crime novelist with a low tolerance for drama, Monroe is not thrilled about a newly divorced woman moving in next door. But with time, beer, and a screen door to the nose, a cautious friendship develops into something infinitely more satisfying.

Lacey has to make a decision about her long-term living arrangements, though. Should she take a job writing caustic divorce newsletters for paying clients, or move on with her own life, pursuing more literary aspirations? Can she find happiness with a man who tells her what he thinks and not what she wants to hear? And will she ever be able to resist saying one... last... thing?

It's was okay

This one was more serious than her usual books. It's still has humor but definitely a heavier subject matter of infidelity.

I loved it

This was a light hearted, funny book that I really enjoyed. The narrator must do stand up herself, because her comedic timing was spot on. And Audible, if you're reading this - I would like to somehow mark this author - so when she writes more, I will remember how much I enjoyed this book. (Just a suggestion!)

Great book but very hard to listen to the narrator

The narrator's voice was quite nasal and made the story difficult to listen to. But the story was great. Predictable ending but I don't have a problem with that.

Not my fave by this author

2.5/5; 3 stars; B-

This was an OK contemporary romance but not up Molly Harper's usual style IMO. Just ok. I usually like Amanda Ronconi as a narrator but in this one her voice was kind of grating.

Cute and Funny Story

I wasn't sure what to expect from this book since it's outside my preferred thriller, suspense, procedural and fantasy categories. I automatically skip over anything categorized as romance, but by the urging of a friend, I got it and glad I did. It was a cute story that made me smile and a few times, actually laugh out loud. It's a fun and light read. The only character really given any depth is Lacey Terwilliger, but the other characters are colorful and delightful, especially her mother and brother.

The story, in the simplest of terms, is girl meets boy, they marry, boy cheats on girl with younger version, girl reacts publicly, girl meets new boy on journey of finding herself. What I liked about this book is that it seems like a realistic path of a person in that situation. She wasn't just depressed, but had periods of sadness & loneliness as well as moments of empowerment, freedom and even happiness. Although she was scared of going into the unknown future, she was going to do it on her own terms, at her own pace and with her pride, wit, strength and sass intact.

The narrator was really good. This is the first time I heard narration by Amanda Ronconi. I thought she was absolutely excellent with the female characters. I gave 4 stars because I felt she struggled a little with the lower registered male voices. Very minor, but noticeable. I enjoyed her and look forward to hearing more narrations by her.

I also enjoyed the writing style of Molly Harper and look forward to reading more of her works. I thought it was really good, although there were a few times, I felt the writing was a bit juvenile. PS., I would love to get a book on the exploits of Emmet. He definitely seemed like he has stories to tell.

It was ok.

The story was interesting however, the narrator was dull at times and used the same tone throughout the story.

This was fun

I don't know when I became a fan of romance novels - I'm more a "I think there's a monster under the bed" type person - but I know Molly Harper had something to do with it. For my tastes, she always delivers just the right balance of witty repartee, schmaltz, escapism and sexy people. "And One Last Thing" is no exception. I laughed out out more than once, rolled my eyes a few times, and smiled every time Monroe (you'll have to read it to find out) made an appearance. I only wish there was more Emmett (again, read it). This was a fun (and, yes, predictable - but I don't care) read. Thank you, Molly Harper!

Light hearted, fun listen

I was looking for a book that was light hearted, funny, and a “feel good” after reading a bigger drama series previously. This book hit the mark! The end was a bit cliche but I didn’t mind as there were several moments of laughing out loud and marveling in the wittiness of the main character. I wish I was quick witted like her! The narrator had a great voice for Lacey and most of the women. She struggled with the men’s voices, but the dialogue was good enough that I over looked it. I would definitely recommend this book!

Entertaining as usual

Im a big fan of Molly's writing. I love the snarky, sarcastic and quick wit. It always a treat for me to be able to immerse myself into another story. This book hit home a bit. Some days I wish i had her sassy wit to combat ex mother in laws and family alike.
Amanda is able to bring the book to life and its always exciting to hear her.
Keep up the great work, both of you.
