Really good stuff

A really good book but desperately needs the sequel. its a great nuanced story other wise and book 2 goes into some great depths

Everything was well done!

I have never written a review before, but I felt compelled to now. I liked everything I heard in this story, from the writing to the voice acting. I felt like I fell off the end of my seat at the conclusion of this book, and eagerly await the next book I feel must surely be coming next.

Surprisingly well written

The plot was really interesting, the characters unique, memorable, and relatable... but more than that they felt like actual people you could know/meet. When often in fiction its easy to make characters which are too robotic or so unrelatable as to be almost alien to a normal person.

The performances were excellent and fit each character perfectly, only adding to their unique flair.

If you haven't purchase this book yet, but are wondering if its worth your time, give it a shot, especially if you are into adult anime and nerd culture.

I'll be looking out for this author's future works going forward.

I loved it and need book 2

I love the characters and the concept. I was hooked in and now I’m wondering if I should read the rest or wait for the sequel to be voiced.

Great story

This was a fabulous story that had me riveted till the end can’t wait for the next one

good but aggravating

VA was good, story not my usual cup of tea but enjoyed the drama from start to "finish" really makes you want to strangle one character and with how this book finished, the author XD.

Better listened to than read.

This review is on the audiobook. When I read it, like a few other reviews, it started to dig at me around the 80% mark, guessing as I read it when it came out. My book review should be down there somewhere. But I almost put it down but I am glad I finished it, and looked up book two online and read a few chapters. It's a good book and the audiobook made it better for me. I am slower to average reader, a visual thinker with a lot of empathy, which made a rough patch in the book last a lot longer than it did in the audiobook. Looking forward to the next audiobook. And in the middle of book 2.

Slice-of-Anime-Life

Great story.
This author really gets into the characters and their lives and what an Anime Con is and happens there.
There is only one spicy scene but there should be a few more coming up in book 2.
The added subtle magic is almost a character in itself. Very good writing!
The MC's ex girlfriend, Chloe, is basically the stereotypical higher education brainwashed "femi-nazi" that no one can really stand to be around. Like any of the extremist SJWs. She makes a wonderful villian you will love to hate.
I can't wait for book 2! Gotta see if any more colors are added to the pink, red and blue the MC already has.
I'm giving this book 8.5 out of 5 stars.

Didn't expect to like it so much.

As much as I hate weeb speak and weebs in general, I enjoyed this quite a lot.

Deep characters

They feel real and alive leaving you concerned for their safety and wondering how they will work out the problems.
