Publisher's summary

This book contains wisdom for coping with a spouse, family member, or friend who has anxiety. When someone you know has anxiety issues there are certain things that you must be aware of in order to be able to deal with the situation. Those things are revealed in great detail in this audiobook.

A message from the author, Lindsy Help:

I have a close friend who suffers from anxiety from time to time. I will share some very important information on how to deal with the mood swings that close friends, family members, or spouses may encounter while interacting with someone who battles with anxiety.

Of all the things I am going to share in this book, the most important is what I will reveal now:

Don't lose yourself by getting overly focused on the moods and actions of the person you love and care about who is battling anxiety issues. You must not get so intertwined with the other person that your life revolves around everything he or she does.

When you finish this audiobook about anxiety you will understand:

  • How to stop obsessing over the behaviors of your anxious spouse, friend, or family member.
  • New ways of communicating that will benefit both of you
  • Why anxiety builds, and how you can cope with the increasing fears
  • How to cope with things when the person with anxiety wants to change plans
  • Methods of letting go of your spouse, friend, or family member
  • Why you should respect the anxious person's need for structure
  • And much, much more....

Does not offer positivity

I feel this book was very negative towards the person who is trying to support a spouse or friend who is dealing with anxiety and depression. I hear a lot of "ignore your feelings and let them build inside you until it explodes" and cater to that person, not what you yourself needs for your own mental health. Not what I was looking for. I am not going to abandon my husband when he needs me the most. I already feel that I have to bottle everything up and that is what I am looking for help to not need to do...I am trying to find help to support my spouse without losing myself in the process and walking away from him is not an option that I chose. If you are looking for something to help you do this like I am, this is not the book for you.

Helping at least one person in your life

If you could sum up Anxiety: Coping wIth Someone Who Has Anxiety in three words, what would they be?

Listen, listen, listen!

What other book might you compare Anxiety: Coping wIth Someone Who Has Anxiety to and why?

Anything with helping people with depression, etc. Usually depression and anxiety go hand and hand; both of these books can help you understand them better.

Have you listened to any of JC Anonymous’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Its the same. Some days I think it a computer voice, but if it is it beats the heck out of umm, ahh, and weird pauses.

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

Listen to the other person, and give them a bit of space. Be helpful, but mindful of what they are going through.
