Explore five guided meditations that lead you breath-by-breath into the essence of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), a program offered in medical clinics and hospitals around the world

Overall, it's an easy read for those first hearing about mindfulness and even experienced meditators who appreciate reaffirming.

The quality of reading was imperfect. With odd pauses mid sentence. But since you're supposed to be mindful and non judgmental, it shouldn't be a bother.

Great insights to pick up and spark more interest for further reading.

Great start for beginners, but be patient

You get out of it what you put in. I like that it’s all about what I can do to empower myself through accountability and reasonable action steps. I recommend to open-minded (including skeptical ones) listeners.

A great guide

This audible version appears to be the accompanying CD, and not the full text of the book. Other than that, It was great.

This is not the same book as written.

A great and simple practice for cultivating the awareness that is who you already are. A crisp, clean description of the practice and beautiful guided meditations that focus on objects and simple pure awareness. It really reminded me that the point of meditation is to recognize the pure awareness and to just be that fully and compassionately.

This is not a meditation book but rather a 2 hr explanation of mindfulness. In my mind anything that takes 2 hrs to explain is not necessary. I do believe the medication can work miracles. We need books on mastering meditation not definistions.

Not a medatition book
