Mitch Rapp—the “mainstay of the modern techno-thriller” (New York Journal of Books)—returns in this exhilarating political thriller as he fights for the sake of his country and the pursuit of honor.

Less than a week after a series of deadly explosions devastated Washington, DC, key officials are up in arms over whether to make friends or foes of the clandestine elite counterterrorism operatives that stepped between the enemy and countless American lives. Not for the first time, Mitch Rapp finds himself struggling to illustrate the realities of national security to politicians who are content to sit on the sidelines.

Meanwhile, three al-Qaeda terrorists are still at large, and Rapp has been unofficially ordered to find them by any means necessary. No one knows the personal, physical, and emotional sacrifices required of the job better than Rapp. When he sees his colleague Mike Nash cracking under the pressure, he makes a call he hopes will save his friend, assuage the naysayers on Capitol Hill, and get him one step closer to the enemy before it’s too late. Once again, Rapp proves himself to be a hero unafraid “to walk the fine line between the moral high ground and violence” (The Salt Lake Tribune) for our country’s safety and for the pursuit of honor.©2009 Vince Flynn; (P)2009 Simon & Schuster

I have listened to all of the Mitch Rapp books and really like this series. I think all of Flynn's books are well researched. I didn't feel that it was a rehash of the previous books. There was some description of what took place in the previous novels, but by no means was it excessive. I would recommend listening to the series from the begining. I'm hooked and can't wait for the next one.

Love this series

GREAT BOOK .....this is an awesome series!! So far I have only seen 2 missteps ...1st was in previous book when Mitch's house did not have motion camera's and s surveillance on the roof...and of course outing Nash in this book would put his family in more danger; Mitch knows that 1st hand through his loss of Anna.

Almost EVERY detail is thought out

I love all of Mitch Rapp novels. The unabridged versions on audible are, without a doubt, the best. I've always felt like these very many abridged versions that are on audible.com do so much to take away from the story. This version, which is unabridged, is outstanding.

Unabridged is the best

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Mitch Rapp is a fantastic Hero character to follow. If you like hard hitting no bull type characters, this is the series to follow.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Mitch Rapp, he is tough, hard hitting, with a heart. He has had personal loss and takes killing the bad guys very personally. He won't rest til they're all dead :)

Which scene was your favorite?

When he wins

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Mitch gets the last word with the bleeding heart liberals.

Any additional comments?

George Guidall does a fantastic job with all the characters in this series. I love the way he makes Mitch Rapp sound like the bad ass that he is.

Pursuit of Honor

V Flynn did his usual of creating an overly detailed buildup to an abrupt culmination that leaves several loose ends and overly sweet endings for his main characters.

Too quick ending
