Economic Facts and Fallacies is designed for people who want to understand economic issues without getting bogged down in economic jargon, graphs, or political rhetoric. Writing in a lively manner that does not require any prior knowledge of economics, Thomas Sowell exposes some of the most popular fallacies about economic issues, including many that are widely disseminated in the media and by politicians: fallacies about urban problems, income differences, male-female economic differences, academia, race, and Third World countries.

While all of these fallacies have a certain plausibility that gives them their staying power, this makes it even more important to carefully examine their flaws. Sowell holds these beliefs under the microscope and draws conclusions that are sure to inspire rigorous debate.

Critic reviews

"Sowell is fearless and invariably so far ahead of the curve in discussing economics or politics or pretty much anything that the rest of us are left with eating his intellectual dust. I can't think of a higher compliment that that." (Fred Barnes, Executive Editor, Weekly Standard)

Excellent content, easy to follow, highly recommend it!
Narrator's execution is engaging but allows you to process the information because it's evenly spaced.
Once you get pass the only weakness I saw in the beginning where there's like three fully explanations of the same thing. Which who knows it's probably meant so people with different experiences connect but if a person connects with all three creates a little hesitation to speed forward or re-consider if all the content it's the same.
Thanks, Audible , Tom, Jeff and everybody who credit is well deserve!

Amazing !!!

I liked the information but couldn’t handle the narration. It was like a bad monotone lecture where you know the information is good but the voice actually interferes with the message. I couldn’t make it past 2 hours.

Boring narrator

Very well presented. Information was concise, and tied to each chapter very elegantly. I am grateful for the information.

Informed.

At 66 years of age I feel like I bought into information that simply was not true. If we are to better members of society this book is a must read!
