In the realm of the Dark-Hunters there is a code of honor that even immortal bad boys must follow:

Harm no human. Drink no blood. Never fall in love.

But every now and again a Dark-Hunter thinks himself above the Code. That's when I'm summoned. Who am I? I'm the one thing the fearless fear. Step over the line and it's my wrath you will face. Nothing can touch me. Nothing can sway me. I am relentless and unfeeling.

Or so I thought until I met a female Dark-Hunter who goes by the name of Danger-it's not just her name, it's how she lives her life. She doesn't trust me at all. And who could blame her? She alone knows that I'm here to be judge, jury and most likely executioner of her friends. Yet she is my key to saving some of them. Without her, they all will die.

Dangereuse St. Richard is a deadly distraction. Something about her is reawakening a heart I thought was long dead. But in a race against evil, the only hope mankind has is that I do my duty. And how can I do my duty when it means that I will have to sacrifice the only woman I've ever loved?

it was kinda of slow for me at the beginning. as usual she puled me in with her great story telling. by the end I was crying and rooting for them. # teamashisamazing

The story line was really good and the reading of the story was great. Even though Alexion sounded a lot like Seth from the Guardian LOL!

I love this book!

This was not my favorite dark hunter novel, there I said it. I did not feel attached or overly fond of the two main characters. This is going to sound so sexist, because it is, but I really have a hard time buying a lady dark hunter. Danger seems like a "nice girl" this makes it really hard to believe she is such a tough guy. Alexion seemed a little dull to me, I understand he has no human contact and limited social skills but he seems so drab. It's hard to believe he has played such an integral role in the dark hunter world without having heard about him before. I didn't think I even cared about how these characters ended up but during the final scenes I realized I cared more for these character than I had thought, this is a testament to Ms. Kenyon's skills, even when I don't want to I get wrapped up in her stories.
Furthermore beside Ash and Simi there are no familiar faces in this book, this irritates me because my favorite part of these books is hearing little tidbits about how life has progressed for other characters. That being said there are so very important developments in this installment of the series. My favorite character in this series is Simi who go her own plot twist in this one that I LOVED and hope to hear more about. Mr. Berman as always did an inspiring job voicing this story he continues to be a pleasure to listen to.
