Under 3 hrs - Start to a fun series

So I have mixed feelings about this book. I'm apparently going through a mobster phase so these Russians were next on my list. The rest of the series comes in at the normal(ish) length you expect from books but this first one is under 3 hours. (Don't waste a credit - just buy it.)

Erin is searching for her pill-popping/shooting sister on the streets of Houston and turns to a brutish Russian guy who runs a fight training facility. The story is rushed, but the timing would suggest that. Ivan is a heavily tattooed orphan that will be our introduction to a group of single hot Russian mafia guys. There's not much else to tell without ruining the short story.

My main beef with it is that with the interesting books to come, why sell this one short? Perhaps going back and bulking it up would have been a good idea before bringing it forward because the author loses the change to give her first couple a good story. Instead, it feels rushed. There's also the setup - a group of orphaned single guys with no loves in their lives meets a group of single girls with shady parental backgrounds. It's took good a setup for a series and life doesn't always end up this way... but we're in this for another reason, amIrightladies? So it's forgiven.

New author for me. Loved this tit for tat hot romance. That oral scene 🥵🤤🥵 I wish the filler books were adapted 😕 I'd like to know more about Erin and Ruby.

I am so glad I decided to get this book it had me hook from chapter one. Can't wait to listen to the rest of the series

Hot Romantic with Love & Suspense!

A romantic love story with a Russian Hunk who knows how to take care of himself as well as the woman who walked into his life and turned it upside down. She also made him realize that even a man like him, who had paid for the terrible things in his past, still could find and be loved in return if he was willing to walk that line between black and white to help save her and her sister from men like he fought so hard to not become.

Just read this book. Even though it's short I still had a good time reading it with the audio.
