From the acclaimed author of How to Love comes another stunning contemporary novel, perfect for fans of Sarah Dessen.

Molly Barlow is facing one long, hot summer—99 days—with the boy whose heart she broke and the boy she broke it for . . . his brother.

Day 1: Julia Donnelly eggs my house my first night back in Star Lake, and that's how I know everyone still remembers everything. She has every right to hate me, of course: I broke Patrick Donnelly's heart the night everything happened with his brother, Gabe. Now I'm serving out my summer like a jail sentence: Just ninety-nine days till I can leave for college and be done.

Day 4: A nasty note on my windshield makes it clear Julia isn't finished. I'm expecting a fight when someone taps me on the shoulder, but it's just Gabe, home from college and actually happy to see me. ""For what it's worth, Molly Barlow,"" he says, ""I'm really glad you're back.""

Day 12: Gabe wouldn't quit till he got me to come to this party, and I'm surprised to find I'm actually having fun. I think he's about to kiss me—and that's when I see Patrick. My Patrick, who's supposed to be clear across the country. My Patrick, who's never going to forgive me.

I felt like this book was realistic in the whole double standard era . And even though I wanted molly to stand up for her self in the beginning I think it was brilliant how it surprised me

Realistic love

if you like a happy ending, dont read this. When the story ended, i was upset, felt like i just wasted my money. Like this was it? that was not the ending i was waiting for or expecting. the beginning dragged, got me bored but i paid for it so had to listen all the way.

hate the ending....

This could have been so much better. Nothing really happened except for the main character going back and forth between the two brothers. Even worse, there was no real conclusion. She doesn't get either of them?!? Gah!!! How annoying is that?

So much potential...

I loved this book. It was relatable in a way that shit happens. I think people can relate to this book and not feel so alone. Molly had a long time boyfriend him knowing that his brother also liked her. There is “cheating” in this book, however, it’s not what you are thinking. I know I know cheating is cheating… but hear me out.. Patrick breaks up with Molly and Gabe, Patricks brother sees that as an opportunity. A year later, her and Gabe decided to give it a go and Patrick still “wants her” to me he is only doing it to get back at his brother. Molly finds her self in a weird love triangle with them. She does kiss Patrick while her and Gabe are together. Patrick seems like a controlling doesn’t really care about anyone but himself. He is only happy when it benefits him and to be honest I am not down for that. Patrick never cheered her on or cared what she wanted, he only cared what he wanted and expected her to fall in line. There was a moment in this book where my heart kinda sank only because Patrick “didn’t know the full truth” he thought it was made up. Molly’s mom basically writes a book based on her love life and what went down between Patrick, Gabe, and her. You could tell in the book the Patrick only wanted her so Gabe couldn’t have her. When Gabe really loved her.

Super cute
