This heartbreaking story of the murder of nine-year-old Marcia Trimble in an affluent neighborhood in Nashville is one that makes parents think: This can happen to anyone. With supper almost on the table, Marcia's mother was at home when Marcia went to deliver Girl Scout cookies to their neighbor. Within literally minutes, she was looking for her daughter, who was no where to be found. This short listen clearly details from beginning to end, the story of sweet, smart Marcia Trimble and her family and what they endured as the investigation into her disappearance went on . . . and on . . . and on. Her murder changed Nashville forever. And it changed her family. Her mother, Virginia Trimble was accused of being cold and indifferent . . . when, in face, she was a private person, relying on her faith in God to get her through the worst nightmare she could imagine. Her father, Charles Trimble eventually filed for divorce after 27 years of marriage (in 1989) fourteen years after Marcia's murder. Eventually a jailhouse snitch and an aggressive Nashville prosecutor would bring the 33 year old cold case to a conclusion . . . and a conviction. This is an excellent story, well written and justice was served.
