An Arizona suburb over-run by a long buried tribe.

A race to stop the dead from unleashing an ancient curse.

Two brothers keeping the apocalypse at bay, one job at a time.

The Zee Brothers: Curse of the Zombie Omelet is our action packed and hilarious introduction to Jonah, Judas & JJ, the lovable disaster prone trio, responsible for keeping the zombie apocalypse from becoming a reality.

Gruff and handsome, Jonah Zee, is the dominating, classic music loving leader, that calls the shots and keeps them coming.

Tobacco chewing, Judas Zee is the gun slinging, rock music loving goofball, that is slow to learn, but always has his big brother’s back.

And the hot and sassy JJ, is the heroine that captures the brother’s hearts and eyes, while doing her best to keep her dog, Xanadu, out of trouble.

Yes, that is exactly how I would classify this book - Zombies meets Scooby Doo.

I mean, when you're main bad guy is a denture-wearing zombie, what else can you say? That being said, this book is definitely meant for adults only. The Zee brothers have quite a mouth on them so be prepared for some language. But that's not the only reason. It really would be a shame for such references as the Zee Brothers' phone number (888-867-5309 . . . just try to read that without humming) to be lost on those who weren't part of the 80's!

I really had no idea what I was getting into with this book. My experience with zombies is confined to the first few seasons of the Walking Dead (before it turned into a gory  show that no longer has any moral obligations to its viewers) and that movie . . . what is it? Warm Bodies? I am not a fan of gore or blood and guts so I usually steer clear of zombies. But, when I started listening to this audiobook, I spent the first chapter in tears because I was laughing so hard.

The Zee Brothers are hilarious. Think: Rednecks meet Ghostbusters. That's what I envisioned. Their banter had me cracking up at times. Then you add in J.J. and her incredibly mysterious dog, Xanadu, and I was amazed that zombies could be so lighthearted.

Yes, while this is still a zombie book, I picture Scooby and some rednecks, big guns, and a crazy little dog that I'm still not sure about. If you can handle the zombie part, I definitely recommend this book. It is a very entertaining read :)

This is my first title from Grivante, and I realized from the first few seconds of audio this was no ordinary ebook. The performance opened with theme music that made me chuckle as my skin crawled. First, I must say the narrator's skills are terrific. Listening to Ian McEuen is like having your own personal audio theatre. He does a great job of bringing the book's characters to life and delivering the comedic text with artful expertise. The story is a hoot. The Zee brothers are the Ghostbusters of the undead world, and they're called in to deal with a zombie infestation. The concept itself is humorous, and Grivante's writing style makes it even more so. The narrative is full of dry humor and sly one-liners that made me laugh out loud. It's not often that I listen to an audiobook with a silly grin on my face, but I did with this one because the mix was a perfect blend of good writing, humor, and skillful narration. Without giving away any spoilers, I'll just say the whole experience reminded me of old-time radio drama, but with a snarky, sassy twist. If you're looking for a comedic and engaging zombie apocalypse novel with a fresh feel, this book fits the bill.

Honestly, I didn't know what to expect when I started this, it just sounded weird, but I was intrigued enough to get it!! Anyway, this is just under 2 hours long, but packs a lot into it. It's about two brothers who get a call to come check out a disturbance in a gated community. When their client calls them, he tells them he hears noises and moaning coming from the crawl space, they tell him not to open it, but what does he do?? Only goes and opens it. Just before the call cuts off, the brothers hear the zombie say omelet, omellleet, omeeelllleeet. Why would zombies be wanting an omelet?

I have to say, I loved the brothers!! They were hilarious. Their interactions were so funny and had me laughing out loud a few times. They were well written and developed, which is often hard for a book that is so short!!

The plot was...awesome ;) Lol. I loved the omelet part, it really was inspired!! How often has a Zombie book have the Zombies saying omelet? You will have to read it to see why they say omelet!!!

In all, a fun, easy and "tongue in cheek" read. It was a pleasant surprise and kept me entertained. I hope book 2 comes to audio!!

Ian McEuen was really good. He gave the brothers their own personalities and made them easy to distinguish. He was also clear and easy to listen to and seemed to have fun when reading it!!

I was voluntarily provided this audiobook for free from the author, narrator, or publisher. This in no way affected nor influenced my thoughts.

Really amusing story and a great performance by the narrator. This could totally make an epic B Movie. Campy and hilarious with a ton of action and comedy... not to mention a disco dog that poops diamonds. Yes, I said a disco dog that poops diamonds. That alone should make you want to check this story out.

Entertaining As Hell

If you’re looking for something totally different in the zombie genre, check out this audiobook. It’s over the top, off the wall humor. Parts of it are totally inappropriate and who knew that could be so much fun. The musical interludes caught me off guard. Normally I hate them, but in this audiobook, it works surprisingly well.

It’s one of those audiobooks that at just under 2 hours goes by much too fast, and you ask yourself “what the hell did I just listen to and is there more?” Ian McEuen narrates and his voicing of the different characters in this audiobook was hilarious.

There’s nothing serious about this story just good, crazy fun and I liked it! Don’t judge me.
