Okay Read

I want to start by making clear that I do not regret listening to this book, it was an enjoyable enough story. However, as some of Kelly Rimmer's other books have been so, absolutely, breathtakingly, phenomenal and quickly became favorites, my expectations were high. Honestly, this one didn't meet my expectations. It was enjoyable but I didn't get drawn in, swept away, can't put the book down enjoyment from it as I had expected and hoped.

Might have liked this story

The story was good, but, I stopped listening early as the narrator’s characters were indistinguishable by voice. It was too much work to determine between the each person and thus not an enjoyable read.

Beautiful complexity

I really enjoyed this story. I loved the complexity of the history and the lesson in compromise which seems to be so lost in today’s society.

Drawn out.

The end was the best part. it did take a long time to reach the best part of the story. I did like the characters.

Huge expectations after reading ‘The things we cannot do’

One time read only. I was looking forward to read more of Kelly Rimmer books but This book is way below the expectations after ‘The things we cannot say’.
