I didn't plan on him...or for him.

I didn't plan on anything that had to do with Cal Donovan from Boston.

Meeting him was a complete and utter surprise, taking me completely off guard. I met new people every single day in my line of work, and none of them affected me. Isn't that just the way of things? You could meet a thousand people, and they'd all mean nothing to you, but then you'd meet that one and they suddenly meant everything.

I was a self-professed workaholic. When did making yourself your number-one priority become such a horrible thing? I wasn't entirely sure, but I learned fairly quickly after my last breakup that men don't like being second on a woman's priority list. And they seemed to be intimidated by a motivated female, calling me things like hard to handle, challenging, and difficult.

Being single seemed to work best for me, and I didn't plan on changing my relationship status anytime soon.

But then I met Cal.

And he f***ing ruined everything.

Believable story line, and can I say I love that it took them so long to say I love you and the best part it didn’t end with their wedding or baby being born. As a woman without children and knowing everyone’s life is a little different, I found this storyline refreshing

Good story

okay so my title sucks! But this book didn't!

Dear Heart, I Hate You is an instant connection. It's chemistry, friendship, and lust. It's perfect until one teeny tiny detail...distance.

The distance, the workaholic nature, and doubt are an invisible poison. But don't fear there is an antidote...You just have to keep reading.

Erin Mallon must be aware that even straight woman crush in her "guy" voice. At first it's disconcerting for the horny straight woman (that's me!) but it is a passing thought. Erin nails this book and from what I've heard her others too.

This is my first Jason Clarke and I enjoyed listening to him as well. I have a feeling he will be popping up on my radar again soon.

Dear Heart, You Are Mean! But this book isn't

I really liked this story and all of the characters especially Tammy, the h's best friend, she was awesome. Cal was dreamy except for the one time he was stupid. I loved the narrator's as well. My only complaint is that we didn't get to hear Cal's voice near enough, like hardly at all which was really disappointing but I guess it was better than nothing because lately every romance I've been listening to or reading has only had one pov and I much prefer two. But anyway, I loved this book and I would absolutely recommend.

This is a pretty quick and sweet story. A solid romance with a cute story and fun characters. Narration is done well.

Sweet and Flirty

Pleasant listen. Not too graphic with enough ups and downs to make it interesting. Perfect for a break after two heavy listens. Great narration. Jason Clarke is perfection. Mallon did well also.

Charming Romance
