Thomas À Kempis' collection of meditative writings from the Brethren of the Common Life is the most widely read book in the world after the Bible. The reflective devotions have been a heartening friend to great men such as Thomas More, St. Ignatius Loyola, Thomas Merton, Pope John Paul I, and John Wesley. Learning to live like Jesus is the central task that À Kempis explores in this classic devotional. "The religious who concerns himself intently and devoutly with our Lord's most holy life and passion will find there an abundance of all things useful and necessary for him. He need not seek for anything better than Jesus." This book provides comfort and counsel to every person who seeks to live a more connected and whole life.

There should be two forms of education for children that are both provided free of cost to the student, one the current outdated system of educating and two the new way which includes the principles in this book so people are not sent to the slaughterhouse after high school for everyone to profit from and so we can truly actualize a more productive and prosperous tomorrow and ensure our national security is not destroyed from within by being in a perpetual state where no one can see above the triabalozed lower levels of consciousnesses which are like dog collars aka: nooses hanging from trees where no true change and reforms are possible which is truly strangling the oxygen from a nation so desperately wanting but is kept in a denier state from being able to actualize any massive changes, but only the illusion of some progress. Instead of wearing the dog collars they ought to be putting their stupid on a dog collar to keep it under control and focus on making a difference instead of taking an ax to knock down all the good that is trying to be accomplished. We have enemies with ties and shirts on. We are all awakening to this form of terrorism upon us, and love and good will prevail, no matter what!

If you want to grow spiritually this is the book for you. Approach is simple and almost colloquial for a book centuries old. Take your time and listen a bit every day.

Timeless spiritual classic

Every Christ seeking soul should read this book. I was given The Imitations of Christ by my Young Life Director, Mark Gronholtz, when I first was Born Again at the age of 21. It was a tough pill to swallow at that age.

I believe I subconsciously figure I’d have to pick it up at a more mature place in my life. Now, nearing 70, I regret choosing to make nearly 50 years of mistakes that could have been avoided had I not done that. Never put it down.

Priceless
