Love this series!

I have loved this series for many years and have read it many times. I love the duke most of all... cold but not. I'm listening to it for the first time and I'm loving the characters even more. They feel like old friends I haven't seen in awhile. Thank you Mary and Roslyn.

My Very, Very, Very Favorite Mary Balogh Book

I love this book so much that I've purchased it in every form that it comes in. The marriage of convenience is my favorite trope. Of course that type of marriage makes sense in the 19th century when women had almost no economic choices. The very few honest/ accepted ways a woman could earn even a bare survival if she hadn't inherited something were limited to some sort of teacher or producing clothing.
Well who can resist a uniform? I'm sure if Aiden had appeared in overalls with straw in his hair he wouldn't have been asked to give the stirring eulogy that starts this wonderful love story. That's all I'm saying. If you love historical romances as much as I do, you can't not read this one.
