Jason Bourne returns in this stunning new thriller from Eric Van Lustbader, continuing Robert Ludlum's classic series.

General Boris Karpov, head of the feared Russian FSB, is dead. But Karpov has reached out from the grave with an unstoppable cyber operation he conceived before his murder, aimed at the heart of the United States--a way to steal the president's nuclear launch codes. Who has taken over the operation? Karpov trusted only one man: Jason Bourne. But can Bourne be working against his own country? The U.S. Government is convinced of his treason, and is doing everything in its power to kill him. Flushed from cover and gravely wounded, Bourne's only hope is to join forces with his bitterest enemy: a powerful Somali terrorist named Keyre, and his protoge, the Angelmaker. If he hopes to survive, Bourne has no choice but unravel the mystery of Karpov's last legacy--a weaponized code that may bring about the unthinkable: a violent end to America.

"In the highly able hands of author Eric Van Lustbader, Bourne has seen a resurgence of terrific proportions...What Lustbader does best is to step into the shoes and skin of Jason Bourne, breathing life into a character who readers of espionage thrillers cannot get enough of. Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would, because this is just one book in an excellent series.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

The plot was so fast paced, I could not stop listening. I had so many questions, I just had to keep listening.

Which scene was your favorite?

I like all of the killing scenes, but the one that stood out was the final scene when Bourne burns the torture lab.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The book only brought a little sadness to me, because There was no redemption for the angel maker.

Any additional comments?

If you liked this novel, I would recommend the rest of the series.

The series just keeps getting better.

Narrator excellent. New characters intriguing from beginning to end (quite literally sometimes), storyline clarity as well; even if this is someone's first Bourne novel, its easy to follow and compelling enough to make you want to start from Bourne's beginning novel to clarify the back story on a few characters from Bourne's other adventures. I felt Bourne's character was also fleshed out a bit more as well; he's complex and multifaceted to the nth degree. Looking forward to the next adventure with the groundwork set for a new character in place now. Would make excellent movie and, in my opinion, the characters and storyline would not need to be as frenetic in action with too many superfluous characters flooding the screen as filler leaving it hard to follow.

Best Bourne Book Ever!

I had to increase the audio level quite a bit when it changed from the lead character to the sub character. Very distracting from the book content. This is the first time that I had this occur. I suggest going back to fix this to hear the book properly

Poor audio from the female vs good audio from the lead character

I enjoy keeping up with the story line while moving lumber and cleaning up an area in readiness for winter.
