Dr. Anarchy is a man with a simple dream: to conquer and rule the entire world. While he has yet to achieve his goal, he has managed to become absolute lord and master of one small corner of it. This is the story of what one man was able to achieve though hard work, dedication, careful planning, unhealthy obsession, giant robots, disintegrators, remote controlled grolem dolls, a horde of disposable henchmen, killbots, an annoying cyborg ninja, and 36 rules every supervillain should follow!

This story grows as Nelson tells it.
I honestly considered turning the book off in the first 30 minutes, it seemed so predictable.

Dr Anarchy is presented as the Saturday morning evil villain, he is way to full of his own self importance and poorly thought out plans. Then there's the girl, who is a Ninja and she comes off as the valley girl who is just using the nerd. The super heroes are initially too shiny with pure goodness, because they are heroes.

The first 30 minutes was needed, to lay the ground work. I reminded me of the Disney "Kim Possible" story line, bubble gum of the imagination. But then Nelson begins to enlighten us to what makes each of the characters and Dr Anarchy's Rules.

There's a giant robot story in here, it came off as hilarious to me; initially falling into the - Just because you can build it, what are you going to do with it and then going the the other extreme, If you got it, be sure to use it.

I liked how the characters were fleshed out, becoming more than what I thought they would. Oh, and the RULES are a bonus, though not all are completely explained. I am hoping that the next installment will provide the background on aliens and the final Ninja throw down.

Overall, I am glad I pushed on and now have another author to follow...

So, there's this girl...

Its really good to see Chereta publishing more books on audible. I am desperately awaiting his next Waldo book and this was a charming detour that reminds me why I enjoy his work so much. This is a fun little romp that is similar to other stories like the dark lord's handbook or super sales on super heros but with its own signature style and charm that makes you feel good.

Fun read

This was a joy to listen to from beginning to end. The characters were well written, fun, and consistent. The plot itself was not overly complex but worked well for the genre. If you want some light-hearted entertainment, this is it.

really fun, witty and entertaining with a great twist ending. characters are brilliant and mock the genre in just the right way.

it is a one reader, not up to the level of D-list but quite well done for what it is. I always prefer to hear the details, in this they were glossed over. still it was fun, and I will be checking out any further works from Nelson.
