An Iron Hands Collection that made me like the Iron Hands

Yes technically its about the Iron Hands, Salamanders, AND the Ravenguard, but it's mostly about the Iron Hands. And at first I was really unexcited about that because I feel like every Iron Hands character in other stories is written like a "While you were dating girls I was mastering the blade" guy. And some of the Iron Fathers that appear in this book are in fact written like that. But almost all the Iron Hands characters in all these stories are likable, and I did not have to rant to my wife about how much I hate the Iron Hands once while reading this book. (For inquiring minds, no she doesn't really listen, but that doesn't stop me from doing it).

The last story was the best

Great book for iron hands fans but the end was a great way to finish it for filling in gaps

Good & varied stories in the Warhammer 40,000 Horus Heresy universe. The anthology books in the series are greatly underappreciated.

Only prob was one of the narrator's tending to lostsa shouting of the lines. I get they're exclamations, heat of the battle stuff but makes it really hard to listen to when I'm going to sleep. Can't imagine listening on headphones...

It’s like red dawn but in space.

It was fun. But it’s not essential for your overall completion of the HH. Some of the stories drag on for far too long or shouldn’t be there at all.
