Praise for Boundaries for Your Soul:

"Personal growth requires that we create healthy boundaries for our internal world, just as we are to do in our interpersonal relationships. When the various parts of our soul are connected and integrated, the result is that we heal, relate, and function at the highest levels. Alison Cook and Kimberly Miller have written a very helpful, engaging, and practical book on how to accomplish this process."

--Dr. John Townsend, New York Times bestselling author of Boundaries and founder of the Townsend Institute

"Boundaries for Your Soul spoke to me in echoes of already-known, yet-not-fully-applied truths, as well as with sweet new understandings. For both those familiar with Jesus' inner healing and those new to the process, there is real help here."

--Elisa Morgan, author of The Beauty of Broken and The Prayer Coin, cohost of Discover the Word, and president emerita of MOPS International

I've been searching for books on boundaries that can have a lasting effect upon me and my family. I, for one, do not see how a person can ever hope to heal without Jesus. Books that focus on self are lacking, because the reason we NEED boundaries is because we are not operating in this world alone. The people who love us and whom we love are in a constant push and pull for "place". Until we can cede that we are part of that equation, then we are being dishonest. That said, there are those circumstances and times when a person that we love gets so far off track that our only way to survive is by putting up a safe boundary between them and ourselves. The majority of this book focuses on learning about our own interior struggles with others and a way to work those out. I applaud that. I am also very thankful that at the end of the book, the authors touch on the subject of the need to withdraw from a person that "is not likely to change anytime soon". This gentle and loving way of addressing conflicts is a WINNER.

Amazing content, but I wish I would have studied this with a hard copy of the book and a journal.

Thanks for the focus on boundaries that don’t isolate us to just take care of ourselves but focus on healing so we can give and help others. Learning to care for myself is hard since I grew up in a church environment that down played self care at best and treated it as selfishness and even sin at worst. This book really helps one understand how to take care of one’s own inner “family” while not loosing sight of service to God and others, including our ‘outer’ family.

The right kind of boundaries
