If you’re different enough, the night is not your enemy, the darkness is not intimidating, the shadows are not terrifying. You fear nothing.

Christopher Snow is different from all the other residents of Moonlight Bay, different from anyone you’ve ever met. For Christopher Snow has made his peace with a very rare genetic disorder that leaves him dangerously vulnerable to light. His life is filled with the fascinating rituals of one who must embrace the dark. He knows the night as no one else can - its mystery, its beauty, its terrors, and the eerie silken rhythms that seduce one into believing anything - even freedom - is possible.

Until the night Christopher Snow witnesses a series of disturbing incidents that sweep him into a violent mystery only he can solve, a mystery that will force him to rise above all fears and confront the many-layered secrets of Moonlight Bay and its strange inhabitants. A place, like all places, that looks a lot different after dark.

The narrator was great, I'm definitely looking forward to hearing the next book. The story overall was really well written. The only part I didn't like is how much the author rambled on certain descriptions.

Another great book

King (& now Joe Hill & his sibling Owen) has ALWAYS been my GO TO WRITER. KOONTZ is about to usurp that honor! To date THERE HAS NEVER BEEN a subject KOONTZ doesn't explore, develop, & make it his own! He doesn't just pique my interest, hold my attention, then draw me in; HE LITERALLY BLOWS ME OUT OF THE WATER!!! Well done!!! I love ❤️ your work😁🙏🏻MORE PLEASE!

Koontz ALWAYS EVOLVING-ALWAYS ON THE CUTTING EDGE!

Fell in love with Chris Snow and his unusually intelligent and all knowing pup Orson! Snow's strange adventures take you on a mysteriously thrilling ride you won't want to end. Koontz draws you into Snow's unusual life and makes you fall completely in love with him immediately, pulling at your heartstrings as you learn about all the strange restrictions his daily life is burdened with, while you shout in celebration at the beautiful and unique opportunities those restrictions create! You'll find yourself talking out loud, putting into words what his lovable companion Orson is trying to say with the looks Koontz puts on his face. Koontz master's his art in this series once again putting you in the front seat with his characters as you go on a ride you'll never forget! Enjoy!!

Absolutely one of my favorite Koontz reads!!

The narrators voice was so monotone I was fighting sleep at points during the book. I had to go back and relisten to portions over as I had realized I was beginning to tune him out.

pretty good but I do wish the narration wouldn't come with the attempted accents . everything else was cool .
