Enjoyable

This was a sweet love story with a predictable plot and very imaginative world building. Writing an aquatic hybrid human creature with no legs as the hero was really brilliant. Not every author could pull that off. Hollie Jackson is not my favorite narrator. She does an amazing job in some of the other sci-fi romance series I’ve read, but lacks dynamic variation and depth in others. This audiobook was not one of her better performances. But is was a worthy effort and it was enjoyable anyway.

the pacing is a little slow and sounds a bit stilted. it was a great story with new sloth m story aspects for me.

The colonizer arch is disturbing

Disturbing but still interesting. I didn't like how the humans treated very sentient beings as if they were rats or something similar. I would think such futuristic peoples would be better than that. It disturbed me to read it was not.

Another happy surprise form Tiffany Roberts

I really enjoyed this book. I usually don’t like very “alien” looking alien romance stories. However, I am now wishing there were more books in the series available on Audible! The storyline is pretty strong and the characters are good together. The world building is good also.

The 2 books by Tiffany Roberts available here have been great!
