Excellent story , narrator on par

This is the best book of all 4 and RC Bray is his usual best.

Through two books

I found Black is Back more entertaining than Black but liked the first book’s story better. To me there were more clues in the first story. The second was more of a surprise reveal than revealing the guilty party at the end of a mystery.
That said, I found myself smiling more listening to book 2. Part of the enjoyment was due to the continued development of the characters, part was more humorous writing. Russell Blake seemed to better understand what noir style is, the allusions were more thought-provoking. My favorite is near the end of the second book when Black was thinking back, “the vision was as vivid as a first kiss.”
The narration is good. R.C. Bray is clear and easy to understand, not easily done when voicing rap singers trying to prove their cred. It’s clear he understands who the characters are..

It's a hard world for my hero but u won't b disappointed brilliant good time

As expected: Bray Delivers!

Great story and bundle of books with Bray protraying each character in perfect reality especially, the Korean singers of the new hit song: Mugsy, oo-ah!
