Excellent book, love the collaboration

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This was a fantastic zombie apocalypse story. I like Andrew Wehrlen as a narrator and he did a good job of enriching the story with his voice. I really enjoyed the stories and loved the collaboration between these authors. That they are all headed to Texas, is just a fun bonus (because, well, I'm a Texan). Anyway, I'd love more from this collective.

Five first-rate to deliver one great!

We follow five groups of apocalypse survivors as they make their way to Texas and perceived safety. That’s the basis of the story, but the characters are what set this tale apart. Five groups of survivors we come to know fairly well, each from a different part of the country, each unique in their backgrounds, strengths, and weaknesses. We also benefit from five first-rate authors contributing to deliver one exceptional story. I enjoyed the tale and look forward to After the Roads and perhaps For Which We Stand; further accounts in the tale. Good story

Clipped tone of the narration is very hard to follow.

Story is good. Moving on to the next books because I don’t feel like I’ve heard enough of each story to judge.

Excellent

Excellent book. The book is gritty, funny, with a lot of twists and action. I am a fan of a few of these authors. They did not let me down on this book. I particularly enjoyed multiple journeys to Texas aspect of the book. It was enough to see how different people in the book faced their own hardships. The narrator did a excellent job!! I was enthralled by the book and narration.

I’ll pick up pretty much anything narrated by Andrew Wehrlen. Love his work. This being a post apocalyptic book was just a bonus. Loved the stories. Great book.
