Surrender the Sun: When the snow hits the fan.

Because it happened once before and it will happen again. In the year 2030 the Maunder Minimum, a period of solar inactivity, will cause a mini-ice age like it did between the years 1645 and 1710. When it does, Bishop will have to save her not only from the effects of severe weather but also from man himself.

If you love dystopian post-apocalyptic books by such authors as A. American, Steven Konkoly, or Tom Abrahams you'll enjoy Surrender the Sun. Fans of One Second After, Lucifer's Hammer, Into the Forest, and The Stand did too.

Global Cooling Reshapes The World

Instead of global warming that's been so prevalently spoken about in the last 10-15 years, this story returns to the scientific explanations of my youth and young adult years, global cooling!! A mini ice-age returns, starting in October, reshaping the whole world. From the initial flush of violent activity when people first begin to realize that there will be no more harvests, planting seasons, warmth from the sun, a cessation if snow or deliveries of supplies from across the nation or overseas TO the need to move to a "sanctuary" at an old military silo turned ark by a wannabe King, the action never stops. Kevin Pierce's voice was made to tell apocalyptic stories. A.R. Shaw's characters learn the hard way about how entitled people in the USA are, even in states known for their harsh cold weather conditions. We are used to everything going back to "normal" within a few days. This story shows what happens when any "semblance of normal" will not return for many years. Even most preppers are knocked out early on because too many people, especially their neighbors, know who they are and what they do. It's the "throw-aways" from the military, the ones who return physically but can't deal with "regular life" that step up to help the world survive. Well written!!

I enjoyed the story how they were able to overcome so many obstacles.

I loved each book loved how everyone pulled together to overcome each problem. I will look for other books by this author.

Couldn’t stop listening to it!

I was skeptical during the first couple of chapters. But then I found my self wanting more. The narrator is so good, I have listened to a couple of others he has done and he never disappoints. Highly recommend.

Enjoyed

At least fifteen words. I enjoyed the book and I really think a cold scenario is more like what will happen

Something Popping Off Every Minute

I really enjoyed this serious. I’m one of those people who bore easily if I can guess to much of the story right away because it so dull and boring. The key to enjoying a good book is the writer. The key to enjoying a good audiobook is the write narrator. Both in this case were bloody excellent!!!

Pretty good dooms day book

I liked the characters. Good job describing them and getting a feel of who they were. Quality of characters was very good. Some unrealistic decisions but it made it more interesting. All in all well written. Only complaint was book 3 wile following Walts group. I though it was over kill in describing the events with Walt’s companions..... very heart wrenching and brutal. Like.....OK!, I get it already 😪I found myself fast forwarding through those sections. . But I still recommend this book. 👍🏼

opinion

In my opinion the story could have all been condensed into one novel just saying.
