Two flares.
Only one will claim victory.

Ember has thrown the empire into upheaval. The entire realm knows her face, and her name is whispered in alleys and in the underground. Everyone wants to know what she'll do next, because it's clear she's the only person alive who can challenge their new, strangely powerful emperor. A massive battle is inevitable - and the entire realm is taking sides.

There's just one problem. Every time Ember uses her power, she loses a piece of herself. Fighting the emperor could cost her very soul.

Meanwhile, Stefan worries that Ember is slipping away from him. As she grows erratic and unpredictable, he's torn between his love for her and his desire to protect the revolutionaries. Can Stefan save the woman he loves? And can Ember fulfill the prophecy written in the stars before she loses herself completely?

Experience the thrilling conclusion to the Ember in Space series now - a brand-new trilogy by a USA Today and Wall Street Journal best-selling author for fans of space fantasy, sci-fi mashups, space opera, and science fiction adventure with romance.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This review is for the audio copy of Flame: Ember in Space, Book 3, by Rebecca Rode and narrated by Stacey Glemboski. The third book puts the finishing touch to this 3 book series. The character development comes together very well is this story. There were some critiques about this in the earlier books but I believe it was necessary so that you could see the characters grow and mature into their roles/lives. Anyway, I enjoyed the story very much. A major contributor that made the Audible version great was the voice and voices of Stacey Glemboski. She made the story come alive in my mind and it would not have been the same without her reading the story. I look forward to future stories written by Rebecca and narrated by Stacey. Great job you two!

Awesome Finish to a Great Story!

I was captivated from the beginning. The author did a superb job of defining the characters and putting the right touches to make me emotionally invested. This final book wrapped everything up with an ending I did not see or anticipate. Definitely going to look for more from this author.

One of the best series - definitely listen or read

Absolutely loved this trilogy! Found myself totally immersed in the story. The author pulled me in and the narrator kept me there. Do not miss this story!

Must Listen!

This novel surprised me. I’ve found with most series that I like the first book the best. The reader is introduced to the characters and falls in love with them and the rest of the series is set up. That happened with this series, but I found that the farther I got in the series the more I continued to fall in love with the characters. A bit unusual for me, Ms. Rode’s final book in the series is my favorite.

This book is much more action packed that the first, which is another surprise as action books are not high on my TBR list. The inventive way that Ms. Rode finishes this series is wonderful. She also has a way to make you feel deeply for characters the reader and characters of the story have only just met.

Ms. Glemboski once again voices the characters very well. When listening to these books in succession it is amazing that the consistency never waivers and a reader has to remind themselves that they were likely recorded over the course of months or years and not in succession.

I certainly recommend the entire series, with a small warning. If you read and like the first book, make sure you have the second and third on hand before you finish. You will want to continue right away.

I was provided with a free copy of this audio book for my honest review. The views expressed here are entirely my own.

Best Yet!

This has been a quality, engaging series. While book 2 was a little less enjoyable than the first, due to an overall sadder tone, the final part of the trilogy introduces a defiant resolve that propels it back to excellence.
Ember has decisions to make. She holds the lives of thousands in her hands, with the prospective opportunity to influence billions more. She battles the empire, a growing struggle between love and responsibility, and an internal conflict with a growing darkness within her soul.
The final, inevitable battle is delivered well. There is anticipation, bold actions, and intense battle sequences. The conclusions are satisfying, if somewhat predictable, and fun to experience.
Stacey Glemboski has delivered terrific narration throughout the series. Her accent when reading for Ember is believable and truly marks the character. She delivers outstanding performances throughout the series.

A Fitting End
