Publisher's summary

Audiobook three of the chart-topping SHTF series is here, and some say it's the best one yet!

It's still the end of the world as we know it for Tucker.

The power grid went down a month ago, and mayhem continues as food is depleted or raided and water sources are running dry. As resources grow scarce, regular people begin to slide into savagery, especially when Tucker and Katie lose one of their own at Tullymore. Without rule of law, justice is the new law of the land, and they fall back to an eye for an eye.

Can Grayson and Olivia hold it together as their group grows larger but one of them takes a bullet?

At Grayson's farm, training is in full force, but not everyone is comfortable with the Wild West their world has become. When one of their own takes a bullet and Olivia is to blame, they must all come together before they fall apart.

Is this really the end of their world as they know it?

The streets are either eerily barren or filled with hunger-crazed mobs. Homes are left with nothing more than blackened stone and burnt-out dreams when the help they thought had arrived does more damage than good. But Fk'n Puck is on a mission to finally be a hero; he'll either survive and persevere or die trying.

Death is imminent, and bullets and blood fill their days as they run like the wind in audiobook three of the SHTF series, a post-apocalyptic thriller packed with action and adventure.

Still entertaining the second time around

Been a few years since "reading" so binged the series again before starting #4. Was as enjoyable as the first time around and even caught a few nuances I missed before. Been some critiques of the characters, the politics, and the writing style, but if you are looking for a good story line, interesting, diverse characters, and some great prepping tips, this author delivers. Ready now for #4.

I loved it, but....

I love the story, I love the characters. This book took along time to come out, I was lost for the first hour trying to remember who everyone was. I hope the next book doesn't take so long. One of the things I love about this series is that you have a long character development. Its nice to get to know them. And Kevin Pierce is always the cherry on top.

Great book and great series.

As in all of L.L. Akers books she always has a great story line and you always seem to learn something that will help you in the real world if the SHTF for real. She is a wealth of real world knowledge and it shows in her books.

Turning things up a notch

I think this is my favorite book in this series so far. L.L. Akers turns things up a notch, with the dangers increasing and the plot thickening. The main characters, so well described in the previous books, are now like real people to the reader. They become entangled in others’ plans, and past supporting characters are back in play. I enjoyed the suspense and action, the humor weaved through the book, as well as the unique elements of the book (Puck, Puck’s drawings, Neema, etc). Kevin Pierce does an excellent job with the narration, especially by adding to the suspense using his voice.

GETTING BETTER…

I have read the three in order so far…not a bad story. I’m interested in the bigger subject, but the author gets to the human story very well.

enjoying the series

I really like the books, the reader says his "s" really sharply and gets annoying, but other than that. I've enjoyed these book. I wish they could be in a box set
