I enjoyed the interaction between Whitt and Reese. Especially at the beginning where they are not sure how to express their feeling for each other. You need to read this book to see if they get together or not.

Whitt, a billionaire investment banker, is the ultimate workaholic. He's an aggressive businessman but a very shy guy when it comes to personal relationships. He begins having chest pains and his doctor advises he needs a hobby such as horseback riding. Just so happens his mansion came with a huge property with stables, corrals and everything all ready to be a professional stable. Friends recommended a few trainers and Reese was one of them.
Whitt hired Reese to be his riding instructor, buy his horses and set up the stables and hire helpers. He has Reese move into the mansion so that he is available anytime Whitt has the time between business deals to train.
Both guys are gay, but Whitt is under the radar because he doesn't want conservative businessmen to not want to work with him. Reese is out and proud, but mainly he just has hookup's here and there. No relationships. Their hearts and bodies keep pulling them together. The feeling between them continue to grow. But people seem to keep butting in and giving the guys second thought about each other in the process.

Wonderful Love Story! Reese and Whitt forever!

I was given this book by request for an honest review

I liked the story. The characters and the story were both relatable. Being in the closet and falling for someone at the same time can place pitfalls in a lot of relationships. So I liked how the author wrote this plot.

The narrator is a new to me narrator. His performance was ok. He has a nice rich voice. My one complaint is that I was sometimes confused as to which character was speaking. This didn't necessarily take away from the story. It just made me have to sometimes go back to figure out what was going on.

Ok Story. Ok narration

I liked it. I thought that the Billionaire character played a little dumb. He didn't get the plot against him and really assumed worst of client without checking more. I liked the main characters play on one another. The narrator read the steamy scenes well but characters sounded the same and I got lost on who was speaking sometimes. He was also really breathy and swallowed a lot too close to microphone.

Sad Billionare...

OUT TO GET YOU is an above-average (better than three-star) book that held my interest from beginning to end. For the following reasons, it fell just short of being five-star (in my opinion):

In regard to the performance:
One reader versus two
Bump Turgeson does a great job as Whitt, but his Reece sounded almost the same and older than I was imagining Reece to be. He did well with the womens' voices, too, but they all kinda sounded the same. Maybe beforehand he could have developed a repertoire of voices for the characters. Or maybe I'm just being too picky. I really like dramatized productions like Audible Originals often have.

In regard to the story:
A more high-stakes, do-or-die type storyline
Again, this is probably me just being picky, but I like stories that keep me on the edge of my seat. Although this story did keep me tuned in and caring about the characters and their relationship, it was really a matter of them working it out. Relationship angst. But again, since I did care about them I found myself rooting for them and happy with the ending. Being satisfied with the ending is a big plus for me.

Overall:
4 stars and my recommendation.

A well-researched an overall enjoyable read/listen
