Practical Book

He does a great job and explaining the concepts that guy him to where he is. It does not appear though that the author listened to his recording. He constantly smacks his lips, gulps, and breathes heavily. It pretty much sounds like a teenage Darth Vader in the bathroom chewing gum. If you are a person that cringes when somebody smacks while they eat then this book is not for you on audio and I suggest you get the written copy. I heard the author speak in other places and that is probably the only reason why I continued to listen to the book.

The narrator is awful. He uses a cheap microphone in what sounds like his kitchen. he is constantly fumbling over his words and at one point you can clearly hear a ring doorbell going off in the background. The actual book isn't much better. The guy is a toxic leader and clearly doesn't care to develop anyone in their knowledge. He constantly talks about his non compete agreement and how he reminds his customers of it as much as possible, and how he has aggressively sued former employees who left and how you should do the same thing. He also says not to hire experienced employees because they pose a threat to you. Let's be honest, if your employees can outshine you, you probably shouldn't be running a business, much less writing a book trying to tell others how to run one.

Awful book and narration
