A shocking true story of a girl's affair with her father.

After years of suffering multiple forms of abuse, a vulnerable young girl flees her home only to land straight into the arms of her biological father - a sexual predator.

My Daddy the Pedophile tells the harrowing true story of a teenage girl’s affair with her manipulative sociopathic father. After a terrible dark secret comes to light, the real story unfolds and her courageous journey of healing begins.

Powerful and inspiring, My Daddy the Pedophile offers hope, encouragement, and the knowledge that although the road may be bumpy and the journey long, it is always possible to prevail over great trauma.

Critic reviews

"If you are easily shocked by what occurs behind closed doors in some average suburban neighborhoods, do not read this book. If you want to read a riveting tale of manipulation, abuse, and courageous healing, then this is the book for you." (Sharyn Higdon Jones, MFT, author of Healing Steps)

"Lily Palazzi's memoir, My Daddy the Pedophile is a riveting, well-paced account of both how her father's calculated manipulation of her desperate need to be loved subjected her to the wounding distortions of incest and how through therapy and the true love of her husband she ultimately finds the healing she had once thought would never be possible." (Catherine McCall, author of the international best seller Never Tell)

“It pulls you along from page to page.... There's no self pity, no hate - just a suspenseful, honest, highly readable account of how a human being can emerge whole from even the worst of childhoods.” (Adair Lara, author of Naked, Drunk, and Writing)

I have mixed feelings about this book. It’s fairly graphic and is definitely triggering. The author’s perspective is not one that I expected. I did wish for positive outcome foreshadowing.

If you decide to listen to this book, you should commit to finishing it so you can have closure. If nothing less, the author deserves to be heard.

I've never been sexually abused, but somehow the story was relatable. The author was seemingly unabashedly candid, and through her lens, I peered into a deeper part of psyche I never explored. As I was getting absorbed into her socially unacceptable story, I was also reminded of my own childhood in fragments and becoming introspective of my unique family issues and my own development. It was as if I was making more sense of what used to be just part of my memory and it was surprisingly consoling.

I don't normally leave reviews but how it left me feeling compelled me to put my feelings into words. I listened out of a cat's curiosity, and I went in expecting little more than a taboo topic wrapped and sold as a hot cake, but I came away feeling wiser and more compassionate. Thank you for sharing your story, Lily.

Well written, relatable

I could not stop listening to this book. Every page was a new plot twist, and you get a somber reminder every few pages that this was a reality for somebody. This book will leave you speechless, angry, sad, and happy all at the same time. This is the first autobiography I've read where the writer opens up about every little detail, even the parts where they made mistakes. I think everybody should read this at least once in their lives.

Horrifically Tantalizing

This book reads differently than many child abuse memoirs. It gets VERY discript, to the point you’d almost feel like you’re ready a risqué novel instead. I questioned the author many times through out the first 1/2 of the book, the abuse was so romanticized. But as I listened further, this was her experience and a valid one at that. No the book did not end romanticizing her abuse, but instead all of the work and effort she went through in order to heal herself. She did what many authors don’t do, she reveals the darkest and most shameful parts of her mind. She remains honest to let other abuse victims know, what they experienced, they are not alone.

Tw: VERY discript
