Great read

Sci-fi, comedy, history, military, alternate reality, and zombies are your thing, you need to read the Necron series!
You've gone from training to being a part of the action! This book has more action and adventure in it than the first one. However, don't skip the first because it has important background info! I read the audiobook and enjoy the wishes way of reading this series.
A reanimation of dead people becoming soldiers to help save the planet, their families and more! All of these are short dreads, so if you are in a reading slump, or aren't sure what to read next, definitely check this series out! I can't wait to keep reading it. And was always Oliver delivered!

Good Follow-Up in Necron Saga!

Great follow-up, plenty of action, enjoyed use of humor and character development.
Enjoyed tie-ins with history and classical literature where appropriate.
Some gritty language usage though, seems appropriate for Marines but may be offensive to some.
Craig Munns is definitely ‘hitting his stride’ as a narrator, doing a good job and even gets to sing as part of his delivery!

good 2nd book

Just as developed as the 1st book with good storyline & character development. A lot more profanity than the 1st book but tolerable.
