How brave must you be to love a dragon?

Keira loves her rustic village life, but she doesn't love the man her overbearing mother expects her to marry. But that is of little consequence to her neighbors, especially as two newcomers have stirred up excitement in the village.

The first new arrival is Aaron Drake, handsome and charming, and intent on pursuing Keira, which stirs up trouble with her mother and soon-to-be-betrothed.

As for the other new arrival, who wants a fire-breathing dragon living in their backyard?

But both Aaron and the dragon have secrets they would prefer to remain hidden from the villagers. As events begin to escalate, the truth will drastically alter Keira's life in ways she could never have imagined, setting her on a completely new path.

Bound by a Dragon is the first book in The Dragon Archives, a clean, paranormal fantasy that will take you on an epic journey through medieval castles and lairs. Awarded the Indie Brag Award, it will keep you engrossed to the very last chapter.

I don't usually do "historical" type of stories, but I decided to give this one a try because I paranormal stories are my favorite. There were things I liked and disliked about this story. I enjoyed Keira's character, but it took me a while to warm up to her sister Anna and their father, however I disliked her mother immensely. I hated the way she treated Keira and how she rather believed Edmund over own daughter. I absolutely loved Aaron and his family and friends, well I loved everyone except Jack. Overall, this was a good story with a bit of suspense, betrayal, lies, romance and love. The narrator did a great job with the characters, and I don't mind listening to her voice at all. I'm looking forward to more of Keira and Aaron, and even Anna.

I love dragons! This author was new to me. I liked the story., It is a true romance. There is not a lot of sex scenes. The sex is eluded to but not explicit.
I thought the narrator did a great job and brought the characters to life.
I will add the other books to my TBR list!

This is my first experience with reading a book and then listening to a narrator read the same story. Linda K Hopkins creates a full sensory world with vivid description of just the right details and Josephine Hall’s rich, velvety voice drips those details straight into the listener’s heart.
With creative genius, Hopkins tackles some scary themes in this story. The characters have to make dire choices and do things that don’t fall into a normal life, but the rewards are also deeper and more lavish than a normal life can hold. Hall clearly distinguishes between the characters with a wide variety of voices and the emotion of the events builds and builds to the stunning climax.
I recommend this book to all dragon lovers.
