This poignant story somehow weaves the heartbreak of the Civil War and the profound loss experienced on both sides with the shining hope that only true love can inspire. Although Ms. McGee does not disregard the reality of war, she reveals it through the lens of the only truth that matters: our Savior walks through our sorrow with us and brings us to the other side where unimaginable joy awaits.

After reading "In His Eyes," Opal's character really grew on me. I was happy to see her find love. My wife and I listen in my truc, and though it's pretty quiet, I struggle to hear some narrators at times. Bryn Austin is quickly becoming one of my favorites. And we've both really liked your stories Stephenia.
