Wow

Wow this was definitely a ride I enjoyed being on. I was hooked from the moment I hit play and was extremely shocked by all sorts of this that happened in this story. The struggle between these characters pulled at my heart and I just wanted to hug them both. They each had their own things they were battling with and trying to cope with. I loved these characters though this a rather dark story with lots of revenge and violence. I love this author and this was a very good book. The narrator did a fantastic job.

Why did I wait so long to listen

I'm not sure why I avoided this book for so long but dang. I wish I hadn't. It was hard to hear some parts but it was so good. Zane and Reed were two broken characters that needed each other.
I loved Kirt Graves' narration of this book. The dynamic duo that is K. A. Merikan never disappoints. Great listen. It's still pretty dark but deliciously so.

All the feels

This book has all the feels. Gruffy broken softy and a hot mess musician. I love all of KA Merikan's books. This book did not disappoint. Kirt Graves was such a great choice for narration.

Great Enemies to Lovers story

I enjoyed this book so much and listened to entire 11+ hours non-stop until the end. Enemies to Lovers is my favorite trope and this story was a perfect combination of hate, violence, love and hot and steamy times between unlikable heroes. Even though both Reed and Zane are so very damaged, I like both characters and was captivated by their interactions and relationship development. This story is very dark with description of abuse and violence and lots of pain, but it had some very sweet moments and second chances. Narrator did a great job with voices and story and made this a perfect listening experience.

Outstanding

Both MC’s alternated between me wanting to slap them and wanting to comfort them. Both had a lot of depth and there was so much tension (both sexual and emotional) between them, you can taste it. The story had twists and turns and a smack of the supernatural. I’ve never read anything quite like it.

Angst, a ton of heat, a great story, and one of my favorite narrators (Kirt Graves), so how could it go wrong? I listened to the whole thing in two days. 10/10 highly recommend.
