Episodes
  • From Complex To Queens, Episode 272: Guys are moving on up
    May 6 2024
Welcome to From Complex to Queens, Home Run Applesauce’s podcast focusing on the Mets’ minor league system. The Mets had a rough weekend in Tampa Bay St. Petersburg, so we discuss the most painful way to lose a ballgame. We move next to our draft updates; Cam Caminitti and Carson Benge continue to excel, and the latter remains our preferred likely draft target. Moving on to the system performance this week, every level was middling record wise. There were a number of standout performers, however, with pitchers like Blade Tidwell leading the way (also Matt Rudick keeps hitting). We wrap up by discussing promotions - Jonah Tong and Christian Scott are sources for real excitement, but we’re still in wait and see mode on Nick Morabito. • Flushing is Burning: Where’s the Color?
    May 2 2024
Grace is back after a less than stellar week in Mets baseball. She gets into the Mets recent woes, and some of the biggest problems they’re currently facing, both in terms of offense and pitching. She also gets into the recent news that Nike will be fixing the jersey problems, what they’ll be doing and how embarrassing all this has been. Then, Grace gives her ranking of the City Connect jerseys, now that the Mets and Rays jerseys have been released. She gets into what differentiates a great jersey from a good one and what the cardinal sin of jerseys are (and how to avoid boring jersey design problems) in her eyes, at least. Finally, Grace has a very new movie minute, a brand new release that Grace can’t stop raving about, and the ideal format to see it in (because of course the ideal place to see it is always the movie theater).
