    George Balulis is a man of many interests. A northern Virginia native, George has notably pursued a variety of interests, including being a professional guitarist, guitar instructor, personal trainer, actor, model and IT professional. 

     

    George believes that success is not possible without mentorship. He frequently says, “No one does it alone. We all need help sometimes.”  

     

    He prides himself on his inclination to mentor others however he can: from instructional guitar videos to life chit-chats. He gains immense satisfaction from the accomplishments of those he mentors. Take my word for it, George mentored me in fitness. I'm grateful to have him in my life.

At a young age, Alex has experienced so much in his life that he has taken each path and grown for his story. After going through struggles and seeing people he knows to go through the same struggles, he wants to share how he was able to Rise to the Challenge. Alex also knows about rising to the challenge when it comes to being a type 1 diabetic. For more than 15 years, has seen the ups and down but he has grown and learned over the years. He has been in 2 hospitals during spring break because of being a rebellious diabetic but after years of figuring out a strategy, he feels like a new person.
