ברביעי דפ' צו מדובר אודות הכנת אהרן ובניו להקרבת הקרבנות, והשיעור דיום חמישי מתחיל ב"ויגש את פר החטאת וגו'" – הקרבת הקרבנות בפועל, שזוהי התכלית דבית המקדש והמשכן. ובלשון הרמב"ם בספר יד החזקה "בית מוכן להקריב בו קרבנות". ובעבודת ה': במשכן ובמקדש עצמם לא ניכר הפעולה היום-יומית על העולם, משא"כ ע"י ענין הקרבנות, כמו קרבן התמיד שבכ"י, שלוקחים דברים כמו בהמה ומלח שע"ע היו בחלק ה"רשות" של העולם, ועושים מהם קרבן, ש"רזא דקורבנא עולה עד רזא דא"ס"! וההוראה גם בזמן הגלות: אין להסתפק בכך שביתו הוא כבר "משכן לו ית'", אלא כל יום חדש שמגיע, הוא מתחיל אותו בהקרבת "תמיד של שחר" – הוא לוקח עוד ענין מעוה"ז הגשמי ועושה מזה קרבן לה'! וזהו המענה להטוענים מדוע תובעים ממנו ענין המבצעים? הלא יש לו כבר "משכן" ש"מוכן להקריב בו קרבנות"? – לא מספיק שיש לו "בית מוכן", כי "המעשה הוא העיקר" – צא ומצוא "מן הבהמה מן הבקר וגו'" לעשות מהם קרבן לה'!

Revi’i of Parashas Tzav discusses how Moshe prepared Aharon and his sons for offering the korbanos, while Chamishi begins with the verse, “He brought the sin-offering bull...” – the actual bringing of the korbanos, which is the ultimate purpose of the Beis Hamikdash and the Mishkan, as the Rambam writes in Sefer Yad HaChazakah, “A House… prepared for sacrifices to be offered within it.” In terms of man’s divine service: In the Mishkan and Mikdash themselves, you don’t see the day-to-day effect upon the world, in contrast to the korbanos, where every single day, physical things like animals and salt, which previously belonged to the realm of the mundane, are transformed into korbanos, where “the secret of the korban ascends to the secret of the Ein Sof.” This also serves as a lesson for the time of exile: it is not enough that one’s home is already a Mishkan for Hashem. Rather, one must begin every new day by offering a “morning tamid” – taking yet another aspect of this physical world and turning it into a korban for Hashem. This is also the response to those who argue, why am I being asked to get involved in Mivtzoim and the like; after all, haven’t I already built a “house…prepared for korbanos to offered within it”? The answer is that it is not enough to have a “house prepared,” because “action is the main thing” – one must go out and find the “animals, cattle and flocks” etc. and turn them into a korban for Hashem.

1) ההוראה מיום הרביעי בשבוע – שבו נבראו "שני המאורות ". אור הלבנה, "המאור הקטן", משתנה מיום ליום, ואפי' כשהיא במילואה אין האור מאיר בתוקף, שהרי עדיין נמצאים בחשכת הלילה – בדוגמת זמן הגלות כאשר שורר חושך בעולם מכיון שישנו יצה"ר שרוצה להחשיך שלא יראו את הוראות התורה וכו' (אלא שבזה ישנם שינויים בין ימי החול וימי שבת ויו"ט), משא"כ אור החמה, "המאור הגדול", אין בה שינויים, ותמיד היא מאירה בתוקף גדול – מצב שבו מאיר אור התורה בתכלית הגילוי ובאופן תמידי, זמן הגאולה. וההוראה: גם בזמן הגלות, כאשר מאיר רק "מאור הקטן", צריך יהודי לעשות כל התלוי בו לבטל את חשכת הגלות ע"י ההוספה ב"תורה אור". 2) ההוראה מרביעי דפ' צו שבו מסופר אודות התחלת ימי המילואים כאשר הכל הי' מוכן כבר להקמת המשכן והקרבת הקרבנות וכו': יש לדעת שאנו נמצאים כבר בסוף ליל הגלות והכל מוכן להקמת ביהמ"ק השלישי! ולא נותר כ"א "קלייניקייטן" בלבד שכ"א צריך להשלים!

(1) The lesson from the fourth day of the week, on which the “two luminaries” were created, is as follows: The light of the moon, “the lesser luminary,” changes from day to day, and even when it is full, it remains nighttime, because its light does not shine with full strength. Thus, the moon represents the time of exile, when darkness prevails in the world due to the yetzer hara darkening the instruction of the Torah etc. (though there are differences between weekdays and Shabbos and Yom Tov etc.) In contrast, the light of the sun, “the greater luminary,” never changes; it always shines with great intensity, representing the time of Redemption, when the light of Torah shines fully and constantly. But even during the exile, when only the lesser luminary shines, a Jew must do everything within his power to dispel the darkness by increasing in the Torah of light. (2) The lesson from revi’i of parashas Tzav, which discusses the beginning of the miluim, at which time the entire Mishkan was prepared and ready etc., is as follows: We must know that we have already reached the end of the night of exile, and everything is prepared for the building of the third Beis HaMikdash. Nothing remains except the small finishing touches that everyone must complete.

[המשך] קל יותר לילדים למלא את שליחותם הנ"ל להשפיע על הוריהם משההורים ימלאו את שליחותם... כי כדי שההורים יפעלו על הילדים צריכים לפעמים לומר מילה או לעשות תנועה קפדנית, אבל כדי שהילדים יפעלו על הוריהם לא צריכים לזה אף פעם, מצד האהבה הגדולה של ההורים לילדים. אם הילדים רק ידברו להורים בדברים לבביים היוצאים מן הלב ומתוך כבוד, ויסבירו להם שרוצים שהבית יתנהל כבית יהודי בכל המובנים, כולל להתכונן לימי הפסח באופן שחג הפסח יהי' כשר ושמח – ברור שהדברים יכנסו ללב הוריהם ויפעלו פעולתם וימלאו את בקשת הילדים בשמחה! ובכן, הילדים שכבר עשו זאת – שימשיכו, ואלו שעדיין לא – שיתחילו: על כל בן או בת לגשת להורים ולדבר אתם על יהדות בכלל ועל ההכנות לפסח בפרט, ולהבטיח ולהראות דוגמא חי' שהם מתכוונים לזה באמת עי"ז שלוקחים חלק בזה בעצמם, ובודאי יפעלו פעולתם!

(Continued.) It is easier for children to fulfill this abovementioned mission of influencing their parents than it is for parents to fulfill their mission toward their children. Because for parents to influence their children, they sometimes need to use a sharp word or gesture etc., but that is never necessary when it comes to children influencing parents, due to the parents’ great love for their children. If children simply speak to their parents with respect and with words that come from the heart, explaining that they want the home to be conducted as a Jewish home in every respect, including preparing for Pesach in such a way that it will be a kosher and happy Pesach – it is certain that the parents will gladly fulfill their children’s request. Children who have already done so should continue, and those who have not yet done so should begin: every boy and girl should approach their parents and speak to them about Yiddishkeit in general, and about preparing for Pesach in particular, and they should promise, and demonstrate that they truly mean it, by personally taking part in the preparations – and then their words will surely have their desired effect.
