So many of us put others before ourselves. While selflessness can be a good thing at times, it can also tip over into full-blown people-pleasing and really start to harm us. This quick audiobook shows us the danger of such behavior and what we can do to fix it. I thought it was well-written and narrated. Though it’s short, it’s not terribly expensive, which makes it a quick, helpful listen, at a good value.

I found the examples of assertiveness very helpful, as some of them I could use in my life right now. Additionally, I think the examples of the "I" statements were also helpful in driving the idea home that there is more than one way to say something. Diffusing the situation, whether proactively or retroactively, is a useful skill for everyone. I recommend you check out this audiobook!
