But when Gillian’s residence is broken into by a magical mechanical man who tries to murder him on behalf of Tick Tock, he and Gunner must immediately investigate the city’s ruthless street gangs before the illegal magic becomes a threat that cannot be contained.

This might be their most wild adventure yet, but criminal undergrounds can’t compare to the dangers of the heart. Gillian must balance his career in law enforcement with his love for a vigilante, or lose both entirely.

Declan is a KEEPER

Gosh this was such an amazing, emotional performance. that's saying a lot considering one MC is a bit stoic and monotone lol.

I had wondered if those last few scenes were gonna hit as hard when i knew what was coming, but the delivery was SO GOOD i was waiting with bated breath and felt the same gripping feelings!

As someone completely new to steampunk and any sort of paranormal readings, I felt the audio really helped make the picture clearer for me. I've always been more of an audio learner and it really brought out how well Poe builds up the world and Gillians magic. Even as a rookie, even when reading alone, ive never felt overwhelmed or confused. This just made everything more vivid and allowedme to be just as wowed by the magic as the characters. Declan is a KEEPER 😍🔥

One of the best relationship dynamics in m/m fantasy

This series has an interesting set of universe rules and the attention to period detail enriches it (although the dialog is occasionally anachronistic). My favorite part is the relationship between the two characters. Yes the main character is a nerdy short outcast and yes his love interest is dark and brooding. But that’s where the cliches stop. Their relationship is much more thoughtful and egalitarian than I’m used to seeing (namely the small nerdy protagonist always being protected and ravished by Mr Tall, Broad-shouldered, and Antisocial) and that’s why I’m coming back to read this again.

The second book in the series is as great to listen to as the first one. I loved Declan’s narration of it. The main characters never fail to make me smile.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GIVE HIM A HAPPY ENDING. HE DESERVES TO BE FREE OF ALL THAT FEAR. HE DESERVES TO BE LOVED AND RESPECTED!!!!!! YOU CAN STILL CONTINUE THE SERIES WITH HIM GETTING INTO DIFFERENT SCENARIOS WITHOUT PROLONGING HIS HAPPINESS AND FREEDOM.
