No win situation

Unwanted and unexpected pregnancy. Had sex with some relative of the bosses for recreation. Protection not as good as it should have been. Fired by the boss for unrelated reason. Met sole mate. Characters mostly under developed. We never even met the baby daddy. But what was there was entertaining.

Enjoyed

Loved learning more about Nix in this story. Nate and Nix were a sweet couple. I love to go into a story blind so will not share more details here. I loved the journey of their friendhship. May be one of my favorites in her collection. Love that we learn more about her siblings. Bonus Aaron, Virginia, Jason, Brooke, Teddy, Liam Sanderson and Connor.

Slow burn to forever

I was so looking forward to this book after listening to Wrong Text, Right Love was about Nyx and Nate's sister and brother. We met these two in that book and the banter and attraction were off the charts. Now on to the slow burn to their forever. Nyx is a workaholic and Nate is the perpetual billionaire so the actual chances of these two getting together were slim at best but there is something there and that something becomes friendship. When a surprise pregnancy, no not Nate's, happens, their friendship will be tested and grow into a forever love.

This book has so many great narrators. Aaron Shedlock, Virginia Rose, Jason Clarke, Brooke Bloomingdale, Teddy Hamilton, Liam Sanderson, and Connor Brown brought all these characters to life and they were so enjoyable to listen to.

I love this series and highly recommend this book. Listen to book one if you haven't because it too is hilarious and so good.

An Okay Sequel

First of all I want to say that I enjoyed the cast of narrators. I love the fact that the author chose to use the same actor for each individual character in all her books in the series. It just makes them stand out. Although I love Nix, I didn’t care for her as much as I did for her sister. I think the fact that I feel that way is I had to stop in the middle of the audiobook to listen to other books, then go back and finish this. It took me a while to remember what was happening, but by then I was so lost with the momentum of the story. The chemistry between Nate and Nix didn’t seem as palpable to me.

I’m happy that they got their HEA, and that Nate was able to adopt the baby, but we never really fully found out what happened to the baby daddy. I know there’s another book in the series and I’m anxious to listen to that one considering Teddy Hamilton is one of my favorite narrators. I can already anticipate it being good.

Still, I don’t want to say many negative things about it because I did enjoy it and Claudia knows how to put humor into her romance. I did laugh, but not as much as I did in her first book of the series. She still one of my favorite new authors.

Great Story and narration

This is probably one of my favourite books from Ms.Burgoa. Didn't Expect You is an entertaining read and I was invested in this story from the first to the last chapter.
Nate and Nyx are so opposite it is hard to believe that they could blend together, however, they really do. They are both so focused and determined but the banter and bond that they share was to hard to ignore. Their chemistry sizzled and I enjoyed the humour and the obvious camaraderie between Nate and Nyx; this added an additional layer to my enjoyment whilst reading.
The journey that Nate and Nyx embark on and the emotions and feelings that they go through was heart warming and the love they discovered made this an emotional and romantic story. The characters were entertaining, the story well written and I was left me with a smile on my face.
This was a joy to listen to with narration by Aaron Shedlock, Virginia Rose, Jason Clarke, Brooke Bloomingdale, Teddy Hamilton, Liam Sanderson and Connor Brown who all did a fabulous job bringing this cast of characters to life for me. The narration was spot on for each of their characters and it was good to listen to some new narrators. Ach narrator brought a different persepective to their narration which added to my listening pleasure.
