so much more story progression

really happy with how the story progressed and the characters developed. really looking forward to book 3 might not wait for audio this time lol

Engaging and fun, but poorly edited

I loved a lot of things about this book. The story continues to be fun and the characters are good.

It could have really used an editor. There were a number of times the wrong words were used, or awkward phrases (eg "tens of" rather than "dozens of"); the writing was just kind of sloppy.

Something similar happened with the narrator a few times with mispronounced words (eg "bulkwark" for bulwark).

I can forgive that though. I was engaged and had fun.

Great Sequel

Bought the second book as soon as the first one ended. I know the writing is great when I can imagine the scenes well enough from the writing that I forget I'm listening to a book and not watching a TV show. The MC is also enjoyable and someone you feel you can root for unlike so many MCs in other LitRPG who suddenly get dumb in the sequel for some reason just for their plot to make sense. This book would have totally gone under my radar if the first book didn't happen to go on sale but I'm glad I found it. Looking forward to the next installment.

Great LitRPG Adventure

I like it A lot. looking forward for book 3, What a narrative performance by Pavi Proczko! Especially Ogras, he added more of a slimy quick witted opportunistic feel to the character. The world building was expanded and Zac has even more pressure on his shoulders

The First Defier...has defied the odds once again!

Wow. A wild ride! I couldn't stop listening from start to finish. Don't give this one the axe!

A LitRPG Epic

Fantastic world building. The System in all it glory is infinitely fascinating. The ranking structure and struggle is well written. I can't wait to get the next book.

Better than book 1

I found book 2 to be better than the first book. The characters are developed further and start to really become individuals. The MC is a little OP, that's a positive for me. The world building has some unique elements that help keep things interesting. 90/100
