Intense, Hot & Swoon Worthy

I really enjoyed this book. The story quickly captured my interest and held it firmly. I thought Arlo was 100% pure swoon worthy. On the surface he is all still waters, coldness, hardness, brutality and a laser focus that in no way prepares you for intensity of the desire that Lina inspires in him. And oh, that naughty, naughty mouth! WHEW! As for Galina, I liked her a lot. She was a spunky and scrappy. I do admit though that sometimes her actions could be frustrating and annoying. I could understand where it was all coming from though. But still, it was what it was. Together, these two were simply incendiary!! The burn might be slow but the flames are scorching hot!! A smartly crafted blend of raw emotions, drama, tension and danger was smoothly seductive and made a dark irresistible romance that I absolutely loved! Dual narration on this book, which I am always appreciative of. I found both voices quite pleasing and most importantly I felt they fit the characters well. The overall performance was excellent and really helped immerse me in this amazing story.

Not so cold hearted afterall

I love Jenikas books. She writes strong dominant men but just as equally fierce FMCs. I loved how Lana protected herself and did what she needed to get away from her danger only to find herself loving a man who personifies that very danger. Yet Arlos danger is toward others and would burn the world down for her. That’s the kind of danger she needs. A positive powerful danger to the outside world that can keep her safe. I was happy that this story had a build to their ultimate relationship and the spice that comes with it. It really helped build that bond between them and created a passion. I love that these 2 broken people found solace in each other and mended them as one.

Awesome

Part of the Underworld Kings series and can be read as a standalone and I loved it. This dark mafia romance will heat up your evening. If you don’t like filthy dirty men and the women who love them, then I would recommend not picking this up, but you would be missing a read of a lifetime. Loved Arlo and Lina. They meet when Lina is running from her dad’s decision to make her his debt payment. He is her savior even though he has his own dark past. Loved the chemistry between them. Great listen.

Intense mafia romance!

The narrators, J.F. Harding and Stella Hunter, were amazing, I totally loved how they portrayed the main characters. Especially J.F. with Arlo’s gritty voice and his Russian, enough to need a fan to cool me down.

Arlo has been tempted by Galina as no one else has. He wants to make her his but first he has to protect her from even badder men than him. Well, being in the mafia does that to you.

I loved the fact that she brings out the gentleness in him, that he is overcome with emotions just for her, she makes him see the world just a little bit different.
