What a book!

Loved the books but the narrators made this audiobook perfect. It is a Must read!!!!

A steamy and descriptive mafia romance

Little Bird is a story of revenge. Alexander Silver is the King of his city as was his father before him and so on. After Marcus Valentine kills Alex's mother- the only woman he ever loved in a failed attempt to overtake the city, Alex (Lex) is hell bent on avenging her death, and what better way than to kidnap Wren- the beautiful daughter of Valentine.

Wren ended up being a lot more than Lex expected. Not only did she put up one hell of a fight, she never stopped and it only amplified the instant chemistry between them. The consistent push and pull between Wren and Lex was palpable and both Joe Arden and Lucy Rivers did an excellent job portraying their characters emotions and strong personalities.

Both the author and narrators were new to me, but as the book is a dark mafia romance (my favorite) I knew I wanted to give it a listen. Ria Wilde has the amazing skill of describing scenes to the most minute detail. I love that! There is plenty of violence so be prepared. Lex is the monster under your bed. I can't wait to listen to Book 2 to see how the story concludes. I was sent a free audiobook and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

Suspenseful Mafia Story!

Whoa! This suspenseful mafia dark romance surprised me more than once. I have listened to dark stories before but this one is darker than dark. I like mafia stories to no end and this one is no exception. I enjoyed the characters, their strengths and their growth. That Wren! Love her! She is so strong and has that inner fire that keeps her going.

Just when I thought everything was finally going to work out….Cliffhanger! Arg! Luckily book two, Twisted King, is readily available for me to finish this duet. And Dive right in I did!

I did listen to this on audio. Joe Arden and Lucy Rives do a wonderful job narrating. Joe Arden has that voice of a mafia guy down so good.

Perfection

Absolutely perfect beginning to end. Story, narrators. Everything.

Amazing!

I have read this series and I am so glad that Joe and Lucy were picked to voice Wren and Lex. They have been two of my favorite characters for a long time! This mafia romance has it all! Can’t wait for the next one!!

Holy crap! I freaking loved this!! I listened to the audiobook narrated by Lucy Rivers & Joe Arden (a ROCKSTAR pairing for dark romance). They absolutely killed it. I couldn’t stop listening. Joe brought his dark, growly side out to play, and he held nothing back! And Lucy’s voice is just the absolute perfect counterpart, it soft and sensual and together these two are hot AF! They set out to destroy us, and they succeeded 🔥🔥🔥.

Lex is a true king. Alpha and dominating, he knows he owns the city and he will stop at nothing to make sure everyone knows it. Wren! Wren is so strong willed! She has a stubborn streak, and she’s feisty! Yet she still had that soft feminine side.

This story had so many twists and turns that kept me hooked and wanting more. Plus it’s EXTRA SPICY 🌶️. Makes for an absolutely bingeworthy audio experience!

Pretty good

Joe and Lucy do dark so well together. I really enjoyed this audible and can’t wait to find out what happens in Twisted King. Joe is a master of his craft. What more can I say!

Twisted King & Little Bird

There is a lot to be said for this story for sure so leggo:

NARRATORS: Joe Arden is becoming an expensive habit for me. He’s great and growly as always and I couldn’t get enough. I will say and this is the only criticism he will ever get from me…I need him to stop doing a female voice. It’s conflicting with my fantasies damnit. Now FMC, was hard to take no matter whose voice she was doing.

ALEXANDER: For someone so ruthless he surprised me with the tenderness EVERYWHERE BUT BED. WTF! Don’t get me wrong I love a redeemable monster, it’s just strange. Not as weird as the blood kink though. He’s highly unlikeable as a person, but then again so is she.

WREN: If Daddy Issues was a red head in a mafia- you get it. The man tried to kill her, strapped her to a bed to take pictures to send to her father before having sex with her and claiming her. She says she hates him then has sex with him. She says he can’t own her before she has sex him. Sigh. It’s the denial that is the worst for me. B**ch just say you love him and get it over with! You had better after all this drama.

I finished the book but this could have been a lot better. Joe’s voice really saves it.
