Black Death: Survival provides an excellent example of Jon Cronshaw’s abilities, I’ve read several his other stories/books and this one took me by complete surprise. The characters, action, and dialogue in this story are all an interesting departure from his previous stories, and all three of those items came together to create an excellent story.
Black Death London looks at the plague from the perspective of politicians and their want to leverage the plague for their own purposes. Along with being an exceptionally good tale, I loved that this story is an excellent political satire piece that paints a true picture of politicians. Scott Fleming’s narration of both stories is excellent I especially enjoyed the inflections he used in the more satirical parts of Black Death London.
If you are a fan of Mr. Cronshaw’s work, this is a must-read addition, and if you are new to his work, grab a copy and settle into a well written post-apocalyptic story. I received a Review Copy through Story Origin and chose to provide this review.
Jon Cronshaw at his best!

.
The book could take place tomorrow, but to the author's credit he managed to avoid a lot of the technical aspects of how pandemics are managed, rather he focused on the behavior of the beasts of our society and how quickly things can / could fall apart, and just how far they might "fall..."
.
The book is well written, but my American ears are not accustomed the vernacular and speech patterns of the United Kingdom.
.
What I liked was how much down and dirty / the nitty gritty the author portrays his characters.
.
The only thing I struggled with was a few of the sentences almost escaped my understanding.
.
Nice work to the author, this was a pretty accurate tale of the beast that resides within each and every one of us.
A tale of the animalistic behavior within us all
