I’m not sure what I was thinking that day.

It was a normal Thursday, nothing new or exciting had occurred in the morning.

I’d risen from bed, taken a shower and brushed my teeth. I’d then jumped on the 8:05 bus that ran a short distance between my house and the county library where I worked.

The ride took its usual 15 minutes before it left me standing fresh-faced in front of a building of gothic construction that was my favorite place in the world.

After straightening my knee-length skirt, I pushed open the door that led into the interior of the library.

It was at that moment that my world would change—impossibly and forever. It was a fateful movement of wood that collided with the shoulder of a man that would alter my very existence.

A Wild & Thrilling Ride! Awesome Story & Narration

Lily White masters dark romance like no other, she can take you out of your comfort zone, blow your mind and have you not only loving it but coming back for more. This book is for mature audiences and is definitely not for the weak of heart, and to get the best impact of the story, it is best to go in with an open mind and steer clear of all spoilers. The impact is huge and it comes in the form of twists and turns, ones you never see coming. Autumn Cleary is a librarian at Watson Memorial Library and is just a simple girl living a simple life. She is not a fan of Erotica and does not think it belongs in the public library, she even mentions this to a newcomer who comes in conduct some research. It turns out that newcomer is Lucas Bates, a popular author of dark erotica who is new in town and is researching for his next novel. Autumn interests him in several ways and wants to get to know her better, but she wants nothing to do with him and that makes him want her more. Lucas, with the help of his assistant, Sarah, tries to get Autumn into his life, but when curve balls are thrown Autumn’s way her life is forever changed and she only has one person to turn to. A lot goes on in this book, it is a psychological thriller that will bring you to the edge of your seat and give you whiplash all at the same time. It is a well written and cleverly plotted story with plenty of drama, angst, twists and turns, mystery, thrilling suspense and steamy scenes. Lily White, thank you for another amazing story and thrilling and mind-blowing emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, Ada Sinclair and Orcus Auditory were the perfect cast to bring these characters to life. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, gave each a voice that fit their character’s persona to a tee, sounding believable and just as I pictured the character to sound. Orcus Auditory nailed it as Lucas, he grasped his demanding, alpha demeanor all the way, Ada Sinclair did the same with Autumn, grasping her meek and innocent demeanor and then her strength. Both did a fantastic job performing the roles of the secondary characters as well, including the most evil one. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and projected them into their performance, making you feel every single one. These talented voice artists are entertaining storytellers, and their narration enhances the story to another level. Thank you for this fantastic listen.

Twists and turns and full of questions. Who is the real mastermind?! I do not think I’d call this a romance especially since the ending leaves me wondering. If you are looking to go down the rabbit hole and like dark books this is for you.

All I can say, is this book flips you upside down! I don’t wanna say anything else because I don’t wanna give anything away!

Unpredictable, dark, riveting, amazing I could not stop listening!

Very proper Autumn Cleary is working in the local library when bestselling author Lucas Bates, arrives to do a book signing. It should have been be all in a days work for both of them, but when Autumn makes the mistake of bearding the lion in his den, she becomes his target. Sorry for the lack of plot detail, but I don’t want to play spoiler. Let me just say that Lily White knocked this one right out of the proverbial park! Was it dark, yes, so very dark. Was it twisted? OMG YES! But, when all is said and done, Target This is pure genius! I am astounded at the twists and turns in the plot and how this one all came together! The writing, the story, the narration, the complete package held me riveted to my headphones and trust me, you WILL need headphones! I should have been horrified, and I was horrified at parts, but did it stop me from listening? Heck no! Did it make me increase the speed to end any of it sooner, another heck no! Dinner was late, hubby was ticked, did I care, sadly, another heck no. I was held prisoner by this story, I had to know how this all got resolved, how it all turned out! Was I satisfied by the ending? Yes! I loved it! I loved it all! Five fabulous stars!
