Revelations Galore!

I LOVED this installation of the series. The reader got a deeper look into Jason and Maura's relationships. You could feel the tension as they battle for custody, while pursuing their separate careers. Maura's case held riveting surprises that had me gasping. Looking forward to the next book.

Really good

Once again, a Mara Brent book does not disappoint! I really enjoy her humanity… She’s both very human, and very professional. And I really like the narrator!

Good Story, WOW ENDING

This story was a bit repetitious, and that happens when an author doesn’t have a scope of where this series is going and seems to rely on fan reviews? In the beginning, I wanted to find out what the husband was doing. In this book, well 180° turn around. And if I heard the main victim character’s name one more time I think l was going to gag. Enough already !! Hence the star rating. If l get to the point of racing through a book, then the author is not for me. This is a court procedural., Stay on task. We all started the series because our main heroine was strong and focused. Well, I own them all except for book 4 and I’m not going back to buy that one. I have two more books to go and l am crossing my fingers. I personally loved the Ex husband portions of the story, frankly it was inventive. However, l like a fast even paced story, not all the drama at the end. This was a pivotal book, but as l said too repetitive in some of the dialogue.
